With a massive following of 2 million and counting, Alanna Panday is one of the most well-known social media influencers currently. Her fashion and beauty content had all of us in a chokehold, with her sharing several reels and posts on fitness tips, travel vlogs, beauty tips and fashion looks.

While her previous content had younger audiences in awe of her, since welcoming a lovely baby boy, she has started dipping her toes into more relatable mom-friendly content as well.

Alanna Panday and her film director husband, Ivor McCray, welcomed their baby boy, River, in July 2024. Since then we have gotten plenty of glimpses into Alanna's role as a content creator mom, as she shows a lot of love for her son in her social media posts.

All parents know that it is no easy feat to travel with a baby. Travelling with a child comes with a set of unique challenges, from the baby getting fussy due to the strenuous nature of travel to the constant changing of nappies, feeding the baby in different places and health concerns that may arise with changing temperatures or various other environmental reasons.

In such cases, travelling hacks for new parents can act as lifesavers. A lot of digital content creators understand that and share some great tips for young parents travelling with their babies. While staying in her Sunset Water Villa at Soneva Javi in the Maldives, the 29-year-old social media influencer participated in a similar video, giving some fun advice to parents who like to travel.

According to her, the best thing to do when travelling with a baby is to bring the baby's grandmother along for the trip and let her take care of the baby. The reel starts with Alanna holding River in her arms and passing him to his grandmother, Alanna's mom, Deanne Panday.

There are some other travelling hacks you can consider, such as carrying snacks for your baby so you don't have to worry about them not liking unfamiliar cuisines and going hungry, never travelling without an extra set of clothes in case they spoil the ones they have on, and timing a lot of naps for your baby throughout the trip so that you can escape irritable episodes later on. Carrying a few fidget toys to keep the baby entertained during long travel times prevents them from creating a fuss when they are bored. If you are travelling across time zones, helping your baby through jet lag takes priority. You can do this by exposing the baby to sunlight during the daytime and keeping the familiar routine to the baby consistent, such as nap and feeding times.

While it may be tough to travel with a baby, making a list of simple tips in advance could help. This way you know how to tackle a situation in advance and aren't left to your own devices when a difficult situation occurs.

This makes travelling time fun for parents and babies.
