Alia Bhatt is set to make her big Cannes debut in 2025

Alia Bhatt is on a rampage and she's far from reaching the finishing line just yet. The Bollywood star is all set to make her Cannes debut this year, which will be held from 13-24th May 2025. She will represent the beauty giant L'Oreal Paris, a brand she is an ambassador for, alongside Cannes regulars Aishwarya Rai and Aditi Rao Hydari. The Cannes Film Festival celebrates cinema from across the globe spanning different genres. It is Alia Bhatt's commitment to bring the world closer to India through her work and representation. With so many international firsts in her boot, it was only a matter of time that she would another significant feather to her cap soon enough. She will follow the footsteps of Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra who have left an indelible mar to create India’s global impact. 

The Cannes Film Festival is a stepping stone to her growing global presence. Her path to global domination began in 2023 first with her Met Gala debut, paying homage to legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld, followed by her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone, starring alongside Gal Gadot. 

She returned to the iconic Met stairway in 2024 for an epic saree moment to showcase the dress code "The Garden of Time." 

2023 was particularly significant for her career not just as an artist but also as a global fashion influencer. She was made the global brand ambassador of the legacy house, Gucci and made her first appearance for the brand as their face at the Gucci Cruise runway 2024 show in Seoul. This marked the brand's first-ever collaboration with an Indian celebrity. In 2024, L'Oreal Paris announced Alia Bhatt as the brand ambassador. Her appointment aligns with the brand's belief in empowerment and the core value of inclusivity as she embodies the brand's image of self-belief. Her debut at the Paris Fashion Week was an obvious consequence of this collaboration that took place on 23rd September 2024, in the presence of house ambassadors, Aishwarya Rai, Kendall Jenner and Eva Longoria. As a binding force of fashion and beauty on the global stage, her appearance at this year’s Cannes comes as no surprise. 

Alia Bhatt is clearly going places, but she is certainly making sure each appearance is more epic than the last one.
