With her wedding weekend in full swing to marry e-commerce giant, Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sánchez delighted guests at the welcome party in Venice. As stylish as can be, she wore an haute couture piece, fresh off the runway, for this high-profile moment; a Daniel Roseberry-designed Schiaparelli creation no less. Known as the "Icarus" dress, it is a striking champagne-gold corset dress cinched to absolute hourglass perfection with a strapless neckline. This masterpiece is embellished with gold bugle beads and hand-embroidered floral motifs, perfect for this grand welcome party.

This bride embraced a contemporary silhouette with a traditional touch, a signature Schiaparelli feature that doesn't go unnoticed. Structural drama represented by this dazzling centrepiece is what you can expect from a modern bride, ready to have the wedding of the year.

When you're Lauren Sánchez, each wardrobe selection is picked with precision. Although her sculptural choice left people with their jaws on the floor, it is evident that she embodies a quiet reflection of the style that she wishes to portray. Her choice of jewellery is proof. Despite the large multi-million-dollar rocks worn as earrings and an engagement ring, she understands the art of balance, and layered nothing else but her minimal (but highly maximal, mind you) jewels to do the talking.

She wore her hair in a messy high ponytail, strategically exposing the art deco neckline of the dress, but leaving loose, wavy strands framing the face for an effortless finishing touch. The bride-to-be's makeup too, was kept minimal but ensuring she glowed not just with the right makeup but also within.

As we witness this modern bride make her best style moments leading up to her big day, first in archival McQueen and then in Schiaparelli, we've only got to wait and watch out for what's in store next.
