Ananya Panday makes her first Chanel ambassador appearance for 2025 cruise show at Lake Como

Chanel embraced the la dolce vita vibe for the presentation of their 2025 cruise collection at Ville d'Este on Lake Como, which is renowned for its Italian Renaissance garden. The French fashion house, which shares many ties with Italy, was inspired by the cinematic glamour of Italian travel, which formed the framework of their latest cruise collection. The show was a star-studded affair with celebrities from across the world in attendance; including Lupita Nyong'o, Margaret Qualley, Fernanda Tores, Sofia Coppola, Keira Knightley and many more.  Among the attendees was Ananya Panday, who recently became the first Indian to be appointed as the brand ambassador for the luxury house. 

Ananya attended the event dressed in a black dress from Chanel's Métiers d'Art 2024/25 couture collection. The dress featured a plunging V-neckline with a touch of silver sparkle near the neckline, hemline and around the bodice. The top of the dress was quintessentially Chanel with a structured top, long sleeves and a sharp-buttoned front having pockets on either side. The full sleeves featured silver sparkles near the cuffs. The show-stopping feature of the dress, however, was the tiered skirt, making the attire look fun and flirty. The actress paired the outfit with a pair of feather pendant earrings, giving it a youthful look. For the shoes, she chose pearl chain heeled sandals from the house, which paired perfectly with the sparkly accents of the dress. 

She opted for nude lips, peach blush and winged liner, lending a radiant look. Her little sister, Rysa Panday, was her plus-one for the event. Rysa paired a white tweed top with white jeans that had an oval cutout pattern on the side. She opted for a white Chanel sling bag to complete the look, which contrasted with her sister's feminine style.

The show featured models walking in lightweight tweed, striped dresses, plenty of ruffles and delicately embroidered frocks fit for summer heat. Iconic Chanel accessories, which included woven tote bags, chic mules, delicate necklaces and more were the stars of the runway. The scenic lake location added the right amount of golden hour glamour to the event as the models walked the path of the celebrated hotel, which has been frequented by the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The front seats had celebrities dressed in equally iconic picks by the label. 

Keira Knightley opted for a white dress with bell sleeves and a floor-length maxi skirt. The top of her dress featured big black bows and a pearl belt. Lupita Nyong'o, who has been a Chanel ambassador since 2024 fall, chose a black tweed set with a full-sleeved top and an extended tulle skirt. She paired her outfit with black pumps and opted for a chic Chanel headpiece with the house's iconic logo facing the front. 

Hollywood director Sofia Coppola, headliner of movies such as Lost in Translation and Priscilla, attended the event in a black and white two-piece Chanel set. She has also directed a short film of the event, which will be released on Chanel's official Instagram later today.
