Sarees can be an endless vessel of creativity for styling. They are one of the most versatile pieces of clothing found in a closet. The saree leaves plenty of room for experimenting with its styles, prints, pleats, drapes, and blouses; something which Ananya Panday has mastered. When it comes to styling them, she has always been playful; combining traditional drapes with contemporary flair. From choosing halter blouses to sequins in abundance, her saree looks leave behind plenty for us to be inspired by. Bookmark these 7 looks by the Kesari 2 actress that will serve as a saree-styling moodboard for the next big event you attend.

1. Embellished Halter Blouse

For the promotions of her new movie, Kesari 2, Ananya Panday wore this gorgeous creation from Punit Balana's latest collection, 'Johari 2.0'. The deep purple saree features intricate marodi and mirror work along the border, similar to a halter blouse. The richly embroidered blouse is the real scene-stealer of this look, paired with the rich deep hue of the saree. The Gen Z actress opted for minimal makeup, styling her hair in a bun to escape the Mumbai heat. Vintage earrings from Jay Sagar, which added the right touch of sparkle to the look.

2. Let The Colours Talk

The printed silk and organza Torani saree is a fresh way to embrace traditional weaves. The look screams vintage, done in a playful manner. The saree has peppy blooms of orange-printed flowers over its otherwise blue canvas. It's a fun way to style sarees for summer soirees which demands you be more daring with your colour palette.

3. A La Corset

Mirror work meets corset meets saree; this look is an amalgamation of as many fashion combos we can add to the look without making it look too much. The golden corset top with a plunging neckline by Itrh's creation is embellished with mirror work, making it look like an extravagant delight. Ananya draped a champagne pink saree over it, featuring intricate dabka work and delicate tassels. An equally melodramatic set of a necklace and earrings completes the look. Take inspiration from this look if you want all eyes on you.

4. Dual Toned Sequins

Every time Panday step out in a Manish Malhotra saree, we know we are in for a treat. This dual-toned sequin saree was one of those moments. Bored of dresses and jumpsuits at cocktail parties, then why not add a touch of desi by opting for a sequin saree instead?

5. All In The Print

Full of geometric and floral motifs, this saree by Tarun Tahiliani seeks heavy inspiration from Mughal designs. The blouse features jaamevar-inspired kashida work, making it a standout element of the look. The red-orange coloured saree is styled in a simple drape, letting the design do all the work. Ananya wore this look for Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani’s wedding.

6. Goth Chic

Ananya Panday wore a mulberry silk black zaree saree from Raw Mango's 'Children of the Night' collection with a fluid drape that made even the simple look glamourous. The sleeveless black blouse and smokey eye makeup added the right amount of gothic flair to the sleek look.

7. Flower Power

Flowers as a blouse might have been an unheard-of thing, but it definitely pays when your aim is to be the scene-stealer at any event. Ananya proved that when done right, this look is sure to pay off. She ditched the traditional blouse and opted for delicate mogras as the top instead. She draped a Raw Mango's Madrasi check silk saree over it, in muted white and gold shades.
