Kim Kardashian turns Balenciaga muse in furry white, the Elizabeth Taylor-diamond earrings are a bonus

It was the last show for Demna as the creative director of Balenciaga, as he bowed out after being the creative director of the house for over a decade in Paris. He is now headed over to Gucci. He chose Balenciaga's birthplace, 10 Avenue George V in Paris, for his final show; it was a star-studded affair, with many of the fashion world's favourites gracing the front rows, such as Nicole Kidman, Lorde, Naomi Watts, Cardi B, Michelle Yeoh, Salma Hayek, K-pop star Juyeon, and newly married Lauren Sanchez. 

Each model represented a decade of Demna's signatures at the house, as they walked the room in bold ballgowns, striking outerwear, and grungy leather galore. Kim Kardashian took the fashion world by surprise when she walked on the runway instead of being one of the attendees gracing the front rows. Her look was an ode to one of Hollywood's most glamorous icons, Elizabeth Taylor. 

The Skims founder walked the runway in an ivory midi lingerie-inspired dress with lace detailing. The skin-tight slip dress fit Kim's body like a glove as she channelled old school Hollywood glamour in a faux mink fur coat, which delicately graced her shoulders. Her satin-finished ivory pointed-toe pumps paired well with the dramatic look.

But it was the diamond jewellery paired with the look that got everyone talking. Not only was the look inspired by Taylor, but Kim also wore Taylor's own diamond earrings from Lorraine Schwartz's private collection that she revealed later on an Instagram post captioned as, "walking Demna’s last Balenciaga Couture show dripping in Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and wearing Elizabeth Taylor’s own diamond earrings from her private collection." 

Taylor was known for her love for jewellery and was an avid collector; much of those pieces came from Lorraine Schwartz. The sparkle stretched onto Kardashian's neck as well, as she wore an intricate choker with pear- and oval-shaped diamonds once again sourced from Schwartz. Another extravagant sparkler dangled below, complete with a singular elongated pendant. Kardashian nailed the look and brought Hollywood siren energy to the runway. 

Kris Jenner took to Instagram to share how proud she was of her daughter as she walked Balenciaga's runway; she also emphasised the "stunning tribute" her eldest paid to yesteryear's icon, Elizabeth Taylor.  

After walking the runway, Kardashian rocked an off-duty look, which was a white halter neck dress by Balenciaga and an ice-white pantaleggings set by Demna. Kardashian rocked a structured bob both on and off the runway. She paired her bodycon dress with a pair of sleek, dark sunglasses

The day before the show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had turned in another look by Balenciaga, as she walked the streets of Paris in a hot pink halter dress that featured a plunging neckline with a tiny string tie. Kardashian once again paired the dress with a pair of pantaleggings, this time neon pink and paired her look with yet another pair of dark shades.
