At 12:12 on August 12, Taylor Swift announced her twelfth album, The Life of a Showgirl. Known as the pop queen of symbolism as she never misses a beat to include an Easter egg in her audio and visuals, it's set to be an exciting journey for Swifties before her new music begins to stream. In a teaser episode of the New Heights podcast, Taylor sat beside her beau Travis Kelce and announced the release of the album, which has so far been termed as TS12. Her website shows a cover of an orange lock in glitter against a greenish background as a tentative cover for the album's pre-order. Swift's The Eras tour started on 17 March, 2023 and ended on 8 December, 2024, spanning across a year and several months. The mammoth tour saw the singer perform 149 different shows across 53 countries over the course of 21 months, after having first kicked off in Arizona. It is the first tour in history to have surpassed $1 billion in ticket sales.
During the course of her concerts, Taylor also amped up her own personal style to include glitter, glamour and sparkle; a pre-cursor of sorts to suggest that her next era would be her shiniest. The three-hour-plus Eras concerts were divided into segments that represented each of Swift's albums. It included a series of extravagant costumes, each specifically representing a different era for the singer and her fans.

1. New Romantics
At the beginning of her Eras tour, Taylor twirled across the Las Vegas stage in this delicate chiffon Alberta Ferretti gown. The lace detail and crystal embroideries caught the light beautifully as she moved. The blush pink gown featured theatrical sleeves and a lace trim.
2. Speak Now
Taylor Swift kicked off her tour in Arizona wearing a custom-made Zuhair Murad Couture tulle ballgown with beading, sequins, pearl and crystal embellishment all over the voluminous skirt and bodice. The ethereal gown took more than 350 hours of handwork to create, making it one of the most dramatic looks to emerge from her concerts.
3. Fearless
A showgirl ought to be dramatic, which Taylor Swift proved when she turned up in this Roberto Cavalli couture mini-dress moment. Designed by creative director Fausto Puglisi, she wore a gold fringe dress that shimmered with embroidered metallic fringing which formed a zig-zag pattern and featured a sweetheart neckline. Swift paired it with silver cowboy boots.
4. Bad Reputation
Swift amped up the drama in this piece by Roberto Cavalli during the Eras tour. The said ensemble; an asymmetric jumpsuit featured a black sheer sleeve, glittering material and a three-dimensional embroidered snake motif winding from the bottom of her leg to the top of her neck. The ruby red snake contrasted with the black bezels of the design, making the look one of her most memorable ones.
5. Iridescently iconic
One of the most iconic outfits from the Eras tour was an iridescent one-piece by Versace paired with silver knee-high boots by Christian Louboutin.
6. Tortured Poet vibes
For the new Tortured Poets Department section that was released during the Eras tour, Swift debuted a custom corseted Vivienne Westwood dress. The design, created from recycled white taffeta, featured the lyrics from her single, Fortnight, "I love you, it's ruining my life." The singer paired the dress with lace-up Christian Louboutin ankle boots.
7. Folklore
The crowds chanted more the minute Swift entered the stadium in this vibrant ensemble by Alberta Ferretti. The custom tiered gown featured voluminous sleeves and delicate crystal and micro-beading embroidery.
