Julia Roberts may have arrived at the Venice Film Festival 2025 for the premiere of her movie After The Hunt but it didn't hold her back from making a viral pop culture moment along with a sneak peek of Versace's future. Snippets of the Italian house's during the Venice Film Festival, when Robert's walked for the photocall of the movie; which is Luca Guadagnino's latest film. The 57-year-old actress wore a wool jacket, a striped shirt and a straight-legged denims. Her accessories included a heritage gold buckle belt, woven leather Vienna 95 pumps and a top handle leather bag with Medusa twist-lock detailing.

Amanda Seyfried was so impressed by the look that she asked Robert's if she could borrow it. The Mamma Mia actress commented on an Instagram photo of Elizabeth Stewart's, who is Robert's and her stylist and asked if she could wear the same outfit. In a comment she wrote, "Please let me wear the same outfit." Shortly thereafter, Amanda was snapped at the photocall of her film, The Testament of Ann Lee, in a span of less than 48 hours after Julia walked the red carpet, wearing her clothes. While Julia opted for pumps, gold necklaces and a fall inspired makeup and manicure to go along with the look, Amanda chose open-toed sandals and opted away from jewellery on this one.

This viral fashion moment; a Sisterhood Of Travelling Pants of 2025, if you will, comes ahead of the house's Spring/Summer collection showcase with Dario Vitale's debut as the creative director of the house. Versace is in their reboot era, with Donatella out of the picture and Prada taking its ownership for $1.4 billion in April 2025. Donatella Versace stepped down as the chief creative officer of the namesake of the fashion house after, Gianni, her brother's demise, making Dario Vitale the first person outside the Versace family to head the house. Creative directors are no longer waiting for fashion weeks to debut their new vision; they are opting for red carpets instead. The Cannes Film Festival offered a glimpse of Louise Trotter’s Bottega Veneta via Julianne Moore and Vicky Krieps. Venice has provided hints by way of Alba Rohrwacher in Jonathan Anderson’s Dior, Cate Blanchett in Glenn Martens’ Maison Margiela, and Jacob Elordi in Trotter’s Bottega.

Seyfried not only publicly complimented her contemporary's clothing choice, she confidently walked in Robert's footsteps. Gone are the days when actresses were berated through 'Who Wore It Better' columns; simply for being photographed in the same ensemble. In the past, they may have fretted about turning up at an event and looking identical, but that statement no longer stands true today. Earlier this year, we saw Anna Sawai and Zendaya wearing similar white pantsuits at the Met Gala 2025. Sawai then took her excitement of matching with Zendaya to Instagram, and the Dune star sent flowers to the Shogun famed actress. Last year at Filming Italy 2024, Brie Larson and Alexandra Daddario both wore the Polka Dot Doên Dress.

Thanks to Amanda repeating the outfit and Julia graciously supporting it, it seems as if both; kindness and repeating outfits, aren't going out of style anytime soon.
