Having desirable addresses, lavish set-ups and bougie interior decorators are an expectation of celebrity homes. However, some Bollywood cribs are in a league of their own. As far as luxury living goes, their homes take it many notches higher. Even the word opulent falls short when describing these palatial mansions. Didn't we all grow up thinking Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan lived in a mansion right out of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, minutes away from Chandni Chowk? Well, their actual homes aren't all that far off from the fictional mansion. Scroll down to take a look at the most swanky celebrity mansions across India.

6 OF THE MOST LUXURIOUS BOLLYWOOD CELEBRITY MANSIONS

1. Sonam Kapoor's house in Delhi

The fashionista of Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor, styles everything; right down to her home. Her panache for the better things in life is evident in her Delhi home, which she shares with her husband, Anand Ahuja. Located on Prithviraj Road, her Rs 173 crore mansion is sprawled across 3,170-square metres. The opulent crystal chandelier in the living area is telling of how equally lavish the rest of the home is.

Her white bedroom looks like something right out of a Disney fairytale. A rustic palette is evident throughout the rest of the home, with shades of white and brown being the most prominent ones. Her love for art and floral decoration is also evident and seen across her home.

2. Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat at Mumbai

SRK's Mannat – meaning, a wish or prayer to be fulfilled – stands true to its name. It remains one of the most recognisable houses in the country, as the Bollywood Badshah's fans eagerly snap pictures against the gate. Deluxe and magnificent, this house resides in one of the most prime sea-facing areas in Mumbai. The six-storey exteriors of the house are painted in a creamy white hue, making it look superiorly regal.

Owned by Shah Rukh Khan and his interior designer wife, Gauri Khan, the house is equipped with the finest interior decorations one can imagine. Bold colours and statement art resides in every corner of the house, with SRK's study being one of the most well-decorated rooms; his trophies and achievements adorning it.

3. Saif Ali Khan's Pataudi Palace in Gurugram

The nawab of Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan's ancestral property in Gurugram, Haryana, lives up to its royal legacy with an estimated value of over Rs 800 crore. While the Jewel Thief actor resides in Mumbai with his wife and children, he frequently visits Ibrahim Kothi, a.k.a. Pataudi Palace, which he had to earn back from a chain of hotels that acquired the property from 2005 to 2014.

The palace was designed in the 1900s by British architect Robert Tor Russell and Austrian architect Karl Moltz von Heinz based on the colonial structures of Imperial Delhi. The mansion has more than 150 rooms with 7 bedrooms and dressing rooms. The house has attracted the attention of many filmmakers, as it has been the filming location of movies such as Veer-Zaara, Mangal Panday, Eat Pray Love, Rang De Basanti and more.

4. Amitabh Bachchan's Jalsa bungalow in Mumbai

Amitabh Bachchan lives in a lavish property with his family in Mumbai's Juhu that was gifted to him by director Ramesh Sippy after the success of Satte Pe Satta in 1982. Since then, it has been one of the most coveted properties in India. The two-storey house is heavily rooted in Indian culture, with accent walls, wooden panelling and Persian-inspired decor ornamenting the place.

The house has a lush backyard, allowing its residents a private space to enjoy fresh air or Mumbai's monsoon season.

5. Hritik Roshan's sea-facing mansion in Mumbai

Hrithik Roshan lives in Mumbai's Juhu with his two sons – Hridaan and Hrehaan. His sea-facing home is bathed in shades of blue and white, which complements its surroundings. The house was redone in 2022 by architect Ashiesh Shah. The home is a perfect place for two growing boys to live and even has a vending machine equipped in the living room – talk about swanky!

The place is chic, minimalistic and modern while being luxurious. Some of the more quirky interior features in the home are a phone booth used as a bookcase and monkey bars in the den.

The opulent balcony gives an uninterrupted view of the deep blue Arabian Sea, a perfect spot to wind down after a long day for the actor.
