When Bollywood's favourite nawab, Saif Ali Khan invests in property, it has to be worthy to join the likes of his native Pataudi Palace and his lavish apartment in Mumbai's Bandra. His newest addition to real estate in Doha meets the mark. Nestled on the Pearl in Qatar, The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island is where the Bollywood star found this next real estate acquisition.

At a recent press event hosted by the Alfardan Group, the actor credited the location's quick accessibility, convenience and safety as leading factors behind his investment. "Think of a holiday home or a second home. There are a few things I think of. One is that it’s not very far away and it’s easily accessible. And then the other thing is, the most important thing is that it’s very safe and it feels very good to be there," said Khan. Safety comes foremost for the Bollywood star, especially after he was attacked earlier this year in his Bandra home.

Developed by the Alfardan Group, the residences are located on an island within the island which connects the St. Regis hotel with the residences. The premium property offers resort-style living with 24/7 concierge, butler, security and room services.  The residences at the St. Regis Marsa Arabia consist of 1 to 4-bedroom apartments, available in the forms of duplexes, townhouses or penthouses. Each property offers a spacious living area, dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen with breathtaking views overlooking the surrounding marina. Cosy yet spacious is the heart of the fully-furnished apartment's design philosophy. The residence is deemed to be one of the most desirable addresses of the region due to its lush locality and surrounding beauty.

Other than his new holiday home in Qatar, Khan owns a real estate portfolio full of gems across Mumbai and Haryana. He owns two properties in Mumbai's high-end Bandra locality: a four-storey house in Satguru Sharan and a plush apartment in Fortune Tower, where he currently resides with his family. He also has an ancestral home in Gurugram, called Ibrahim Kothi, aka Pataudi Palace. The palace is spread across 10 acres and is estimated to be worth 800 crore rupees. The colonial-era property has been featured in many movies such as Veer-Zaara, Rang De Basanti, Eat Pray Love, Animal and Mangal Panday.
