The second Sunday of November marked a sombre occasion for the British royal family. King Charles; who led the procession at London's Cenotaph war memorial on Remembrance Sunday, was joined by his family members, including Queen Camila, Prince of Wales, William and Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. The Princess especially has great regard for Remembrance Sunday as she hasn't missed a single of its services since she joined the royal family 14 years ago. This time wasn't any different for Kate as this year, she honoured the memory of her departed family members; including her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, her late grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth and her grandfather, Peter Middleton.
Following royal protocol of donning black, Kate wore a black high pie-crust necked structured coat dress, designed by Catherine Walker; whose designs the Princess is fond of. A black lace jabot accessorised her neckline and a structured black Lock & Co. hat completed her subdued tribute. Her jewellery of choice however, stole the spotlight. She wore Princess Diana’s Collingwood pearl drop earrings on her ears—a white stone stud leading to an elegant pearl droplet. The earrings were gifted to Diana in 1981 as an engagement present and she wore them throughout her life, even before she married then-Prince Charles. Kate had also worn the heirloom jewellery piece for Remembrance services in 2024.
Kate also accessorised with a bright red poppy pin on her lapel; a symbol of those who have died in war worn by the British royal family, which first began as a tradition after World War I. She also pinned an RAF brooch to her dress in honour of her paternal grandfather who was as a fighter pilot during World War II.

On Saturday, she made an appearance at the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall, with her eldest child, Prince George. Wearing a black long-sleeved dress with a white lace collar by Alessandra Rich, she chose Queen Elizabeth’s Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings to complete the look and honour her late grandmother-in-law.
The Princess of Wales often remembers her late relatives, especially Diana, through her fashion choices and this solemn Remembrance Sunday service was alike.
