Princess Kate pairs a demure butter yellow dress with her wedding earrings

It’s currently summer in most parts of the world; most definitely in Buckingham Palace. The official residence of the British monarchs hosted their Annual Garden Party, which brought esteemed guests to the royal lawns for the invitation-only event. In attendance after a period of two years was Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, which marked her comeback to the royal society scene.

Accompanied by her husband, Prince William, Kate Middleton looked nothing less than a ray of sunshine in a butter yellow dress designed by Emilia Wickstead; featuring long sleeves and a flared mid-length with a wrap detail around the waist. A matching Philip Treacy hat was the highlight of her accessories and completing it was a nude clutch and matching heels. She kept her makeup look neutral with coral cheeks, dark brows and nude lips.

In a coincidental twist of style, it turns out that Kate had worn that very same hat for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding back in 2018, nearly exactly seven years ago. But that wasn’t the only nostalgic addition that her outfit for the royal function featured. The Princess paired her look with diamond droplet Robinson Pelham earrings, which also happened to be her wedding earrings, which she wore for her wedding to Prince William in 2011. As Kate moves into the future, her cherished pieces still stay close to her, which is always a delight to see.
