Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra's complete relationship timeline

Indian cinema is filled with iconic couples, both on and off the screen. One such charming couple is Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, who have welcomed their first child, a daughter, earlier today. Sparks flew between the pair when they first met in 2018 during the wrap-up party of Advani’s film Lust Stories. The couple's palpable chemistry has been evident since their joint performance in 2021's Shershah, where the two starred opposite each other. After years of dating rumours, the two hard-launched their relationship when Kiara shared a birthday post for Sidharth in January 2023, a month before the two tied the knot in February 2023. As the two take their first steps into parenthood, let's take a look at how their relationship began. 

2018: First Meeting

The pair met during the success party of Advani's Vicky Kaushal, Radhika Apte, and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Lust Stories. Not much is known about the meeting but sparks were flying behind the scenes.

2019: South African Rendezvous

Both Advani and Malhotra posted their individual South African safari pictures on social media. While there was no confirmation who they were vacationing with, the pictures with similar backgrounds and locations left fans speculating about a potential romance.

2020: Rumours flying 

As the two filmed Shershah together throughout 2020, fans sensed something more was going on between the two. However, both Malhotra and Advani stayed tight-lipped, neither denying nor confirming the rumours. 

2021: Shershah's success

While neither Kiara nor Sidharth fuelled the fire of their relationship, they remained the most discussed pair in Bollywood throughout 2021, thanks to the roaring success that Shershah was. Their chemistry in the movie was a great reason behind its success, as the heart-breaking love story they portrayed touched the hearts of all their fans.

2022: KWK Couch Magic 

Like most relationships in Bollywood, #SidKiara was also manifested first on Karan Johar's coffee couch. In an interview in 2022, Johar mentions to Malhotra about him dating Advani, to which Malhotra says, "I am manifesting it today," to which Johar jokingly replies, "that you marry Kiara Advani."

2023: Instagram-official

On January 16, 2023, Advani posted a picture of her and Malhotra looking at each other, captioning it as, "What are you looking at, birthday boy" making their relationship Instagram-official.

2023: Wedding Bells

In February, the two hard-launched their relationship by tying the knot on February 7, 2023, in a private ceremony at Suryagarh Palace, Jaisalmer. They shared their wedding photos on Instagram with the caption, “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi." Many beautiful moments came out of the wedding; so many that one of the scenes from their wedding was recreated in Ananya Panday's TV show Call Me Bae. 

2023: Festive Celebrations 

The two posted an image of themselves decked in beautiful outfits celebrating their first Diwali in October later that year. 

2024: Anniversary celebrations 

Malhotra shared a picture of the two riding off into the sunset together on horseback, with a heartfelt caption: “It’s not the journey or the destination; it’s the company that matters. Thank you for being the best partner on this crazy ride called life. #HappyAnniversaryMyLove" Does it get more 'happily ever after' than this?

2024: Wimbledon Dates

The couple made their Wimbledon debut dressed in white during the 2024 Wimbledon tournament. In the post shared by Advani, she cheered for a day of tennis matches, Centre Court, and strawberries and cream at the stadium.

2025: Babymoon Time

Reportedly, the couple travelled to Australia to enjoy a babymoon together in April this year. 

2025: Met Gala 

Malhotra and Advani attended the Met Gala 2025 together, for Kiara to make her Met Gala debut. She showcased her baby bump in a custom Gaurav Gupta gown, while Malhotra; who didn't attend the gala, was there to support her. 

2025: Birth of their daughter

Today, the two announced that they welcomed a baby girl via an Instagram post that read "Our hearts are full and our world forever changes. We are blessed with a baby girl."
