Parents-to-be Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's complete relationship timeline

Among one of the most talked about relationships in Bollywood, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif announced their pregnancy recently via a joint Instagram post that had their fans scream collectively out of joy. Their mostly private relationship began in 2019, and has since been a fan favourite; scroll below to read all about it. 

2018

Before her famous Koffee interview, Katrina first noticed Vicky in the trailer of Manmarziyaan. She has said she found him “effortless and raw” in that trailer, and that’s when she thought – “who is this guy?” Fast forward to a couple of months, on Koffee With Karan 6, Katrina mentioned that she thought she and Vicky would “look good on screen together.” That planted some seeds of interest. Months later, Vicky returned to the couch and manifested this further, like most on the couch. 

2019

Their first more formal meeting came in 2019. They danced together on stage at an award show where Katrina was performing her hits; this led to a backstage introduction. Vicky has recalled that this was the first time he and Katrina really interacted. They were also spotted together at social events, parties, Diwali bashes, etc. Rumours about their relationship began circulating more widely in late 2019. 

2020

Throughout 2020, they were seen together occasionally at private events but kept things very low‑key. There was no public confirmation. Interactions stayed discreet. Fans noticed small clues (social media, appearances), but both kept it largely out of the limelight. 

2021

This year was significant. On December 9, 2021, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif got married in a private, three‑day wedding ceremony at Six Senses Fort Barwara, Rajasthan. The event was attended by close family and friends.  Before the wedding, in mid‑2021, the rumours about their relationship had become more open. Their chemistry at parties, subtle social media posts, and public sightings lent credence to the idea that they were an item. 

2022 - 2023

After their wedding, they began occasionally opening up more in interviews. Vicky has spoken about being more mature since marrying Katrina, calling their wedding one of the most treasured memories. In 2023, Katrina described their relationship as “meant to be”, citing how over time she felt all the coincidences and timing that brought them together felt unreal in a beautiful way. Vicky at one point shared that during the first two years of their relationship, Katrina found him a little “khadoos” (grumpy) — pointing out how people in relationships grow into each other. 

2024 - 2025

 The couple continues to remain relatively private, though they share glimpses of their life together via interviews and social media. Vicky often says big news or milestones are first shared with Katrina. In late September 2025, they officially announced that Katrina is expecting their first child. The due date is speculated to be around October‑November 2025.
