Ever since the news broke out of her Cannes debut in 2025, Shalini Passi has been gearing up to make this once-in-a-lifetime moment memorable not just for her, but also for her fans. Many may believe that it is in fact Cannes' debut of Shalini Passi and not the other way round. For someone who is always red carpet-ready, it wouldn't be wrong to believe that Cannes is just another runway for the philanthropist cum reality TV star.
From the moment she arrived at the French Riviera, the spotlights haven't stopped flashing. Partly because of her pretty pink photoshoot moments before she stepped out in the city perhaps. She was seen in a pastel pink cutout gown by Fouad Sarkis. The dress begins with a halter neckline into a keyhole neckline and eventually extends to the rest of the form-grazing gown and into a mermaid skirt. For drama, she added fluttery, feather sleeves and completed with an embellished clutch for a monochrome touch. Her was styled in luscious side sweep.
Firsts are always special. Although she is an influential name and face in the world of fashion, art and philanthropy, some feelings and moments are unparalleled even for her. "I think I have been preparing for this moment my entire life," said Passi in a candid conversation with Team HELLO!
Prior to her red carpet debut, Shalini Passi has made multiple appearances. Before the pink gown, Shalini Passi was seen in a sheer white co-ord set with black embroidery and paired with a Judith Leiber clutch. Against the French backdrop, the combination of white and black was elegant with the stunning shades of blue from the sea.
Another glamorous outing was her in a silver strapless silver gown custom-made by Dolce & Gabbana for the evening. She paired the ensemble with a starfish clutch and diamonds galore for the Dolce & Gabbana Cinema Italiano dinner for an exclusive celebration of cinema, glamour and timeless fashion.
On speaking about what her inspiration behind her red carpet ensemble for her debut was, she revealed some, and concealed some, enough to create curiosity for the big moment. "It's my way of bringing India to the world and I am looking forward to wearing it on the carpet."
When asked about what she's most excited about to see for her first time here, she said, "There are lots of things beyond the red carpet; there are movie screenings, there is also a couple of really interesting events and I am looking forward to those. There's Golden Ball Gala.... Even Chopard is hosting a few events, so yes, I am excited for those"
