Please, it's World Champions now.
A decade ago, if someone were to ask about India's women's cricket team, one would probably send out a loud laugh. That laughter was turned to belief on the evening of November 2, 2025, when the girls in blue rewrote the course of the game. The women's cricket team proved their mettle once more in the final match against South Africa at the ICC Women's World Cup after a series of major wins in the tournament, the one that mattered most. After a near win in 2017 and 2019, the women's cricket team's fifteen-year-long career finally culminated in a historic victory, creating a new chapter in the sport's history, one that the world would witness. Indians from all over the world sang tunes of victory for the women bleeding blue. Among the vast crowds were Bollywood's very own, who cheered the team on from their screens.

Bollywood celebrities took to their Instagram to share their praise for the massive win. Celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Ananya Panday shared images of the team post their win. Priyanka Chopra shared love from overseas, marking this milestone moment on her Instagram profile as well.

On Twitter, Abhishek Bachchan, Mammootty, and Anupam Kher poured their love and support for this historic moment.

Some celebrities, on the other hand, shared snippets of their TV screens proving they were waiting for this moment with bated breath, just like us. Kiara Advani, Jacqueline Fernandez and Anushka Sharma took to their Instagram stories sharing the same.

It wasn't just Bollywood's biggies, though, who shared their support and appreciation. Although former Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was present in flesh to watch the match, in the name of the game, India's very own men in blue, both former and present, took to their own social media handles to give these power women the love they deserved. Who better than them to know the feeling, right? A moment of pride, the feeling was shared by Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, who was present at the stadium too, Yuvraj Singh, Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma.
