Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha share a love story manifested in reverse

"Our little universe is on its way," shared Parineeti Chopra, an actress best known for Ishaqzaade and her husband, Raghav Chadha, a member of Rajya Sabha and Aam Aadmi Party leader, as they announced they're expecting their first child together. The couple took to Instagram to jointly announce the anticipated arrival of their baby with an image of a beautifully decorated cake placed on a round silver platter with delicate flowers. The highlight of the post was the cake, which carried an imprint of tiny baby feet with the inscription, " 1 + 1 = 3." The image is followed by a video of Parineeti and Raghav strolling through a park with their backs to the camera, holding hands as they walk side by side. The couple captioned the post as, "Our little universe … on its way. Blessed beyond measure."

The pregnancy announcement sets a new milestone in the relationship of the couple who got married almost 2 years back in September 2023. When the two started dating, an interview clip of Parineeti started popping up everywhere, where the actress proclaims, "I don't want to marry any politician." 1. First meeting and dating 

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha have reportedly been friends since college, as both of them go to the London School of Economics. The couple officially started dating on the set of Chopra's movie, Chamkila. Chadha went to visit Chopra on the sets of the movie that was being filmed in Punjab; soon, this friendship transformed into something more. 

2. Media speculation and Engagement 

The two were spotted having lunch together, which sparked their dating rumours. Since then, the couple has been spotted together multiple times. In early 2023, Chopra was spotted outside designer Manish Malhotra's house, sparking engagement rumours. 

Shortly after that, the couple got engaged in May 2023. The actress had shared photos from the engagement ceremony along with the caption, “Everything I prayed for… I said yes! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਨ।” The engagement was attended by many celebrities, among whom was Chopra's cousin and actress, Priyanka Chopra.  

3. Wedding and married life

The couple tied the knot on September 24, 2023, at the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in front of their loved ones. The coveted guest list included many politicians and faces from the entertainment industry. 

Soon after their wedding, Raghav shared a post on October 22, wishing his newly wife a happy birthday with a sweet caption that read, "You light up my life like a superstar, Paru! Just a smile from you can make my challenging and chaotic life bearable You bring SO much joy into my world…On this special day, I want to celebrate the amazing woman that you are…Here's to more laughs, more love, and more unforgettable moments together…like these beautiful ones of our first year together."

Shortly after the couple rang in the New Year 2024 from a European vacation, as the two travelled through London and Austria. 

Both Parineeti and Raghav shared photos of themselves enjoying their first Christmas and New Year break with each other. 

The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary on a beach vacation at Joali Islands in the Maldives. Chopra posted a carousel of pictures and videos of the two enjoying their first wedding celebration. The actress captioned the post as, "Ragaii - I don't know what I did in my past life and this one, to deserve you. I have married the perfect gentleman, my goofy friend, sensitive partner, my mature husband (thank god because...me!), a straight-up honest human being, the best son, brother in law & son in law. Your dedication and commitment to our Country inspires me SO much. I love you too too much. Why didn't we meet sooner? Happy anniversary, @raghavchadha88. We are ONE." 

Later on November 11, 2024,  Parineet once again expressed her love for her husband on the occasion of his birthday. The actress shared a reel of the couple wherein they both can be seen goofing around with each other. Chopra captioned the post as, " Happiest bday my Ragaii. Your grace, honesty, patience and maturity make me wanna be a better person every day. You graciously lead me and teach me how to be strong, the value of emotional stability and the true meaning of respect and love. I promise to never stop learning from you. Everyone around me says it because its true, “they dont make gentlemen like you anymore”. I’m glad God gave me the best one of them all (Also in the middle of all this classiness, how are you actually the biggest jokester and goofball of all?? #ChupaRustam)"

The couple celebrated the 2025 New Year's at their Delhi home, just the two of them.
