The Cannes Film Festival 2025 is officially upon us and already, has seen our fair share of famous stars from all over the world. While Eva Longoria marked her 20 years at the festival in a mirrored gown, Tom Cruise turned up in burgundy to cut a casual chic figure for a Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning photo call. From India, Urvashi Rautela was the first celebrity to arrive from the sub-continent on the very first day at the festival, followed by 17-year-old actress Nitanshi Goel. Following right on their heels is none other than Jacqueline Fernandez.
The Bollywood actress and performer marked her official red carpet appearance last night at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 as a representative for Indian cinema for the Red Sea Film Foundation’s 'Women in Cinema' initiative. Jacqueline painted the town red; in every sense of the word, with her custom red carpet ensemble by designer label Nicole + Felicia couture. Launched in 2015, the label was conceptualised in San Francisco and realised in the designer's hometown of Taipei, Taiwan. It featured a ruby-toned structured velvet lace-backed corset bodice, leading to a mermaid-silhouette skirt with a flare at the hemline. Draped around her arms was a rosette-detailed stole that enveloped her frame. Modest and sans a train, the celebrity's look was also in line with the film festival's new dress code. Jewellery was minimal yet elegant; a diamond necklace and drop pendant along with matching earrings.
With it, her makeup of choice was also as classic as her outfit as the actress paired shimmery champagne lids with winged eyeliner and fluttery lashes, set with an elegant rouge lip. Jacqueline's old world charm of her look continued with her tresses, which were styled in a chignon updo.
We're only a few days into the Cannes Film Festival and already, the style statements are coming in quick and hot. With an appearance as stunning as this one, Jacqueline Fernandez has already left her fashionable mark representing the Indian contingent at the event.
