Cannes Film Festival 2025: Janhvi Kapoor makes her Cannes 2025 debut in a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga

The Cannes Film Festival 2025 is set to make May the most fashionable month of the year, thus far. After the recent Met Gala in New York, the event in Southern France is only going to raise the fashion stakes higher. This year's Indian contingent will see multiple celebrity debutants. One of them was none other than Janhvi Kapoor. Known most popularly across the Indian sub-continent for her style choices, the Bollywood actress didn't miss the chance to sparkle for her debut at the Cannes Film Festival, and on the international stage as well. 

Janhvi Kapoor was photographed on the red carpet alongside Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, who described the outfit as "modern India at the French Riviera" on Instagram, the actress chose a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga for the event, which was a perfect style statement representing India on the red carpet.

Crafted of ruched tissue fabric woven in Benaras in a blush pink shade, the ensemble featured a structured capped sleeve blouse, flowing skirt and narrow dupatta of the same fabric. The signature drape was finished with an uncut hem. With jewellery from Chopard, Janhvi's neckline was set with multiple strings of pearls and diamonds, as well as round diamond earrings.

Never one to miss making a beauty statement, the actress went for a dreamy rose-toned makeup look of shimmery lids and a smoked-out liner, fluttery lashes, blush and highlighter draped across her cheeks and finally, a berry-toned lip. Paired with it was her hair, slicked back in a bun hairstyle.

It's a look that's testament to Janhvi Kapoor's ethereal and head-turning personal style; definitely one that won't be forgotten anytime soon.
