Cannes Film Festival 2025: Nitanshi Goel makes an elegant red carpet debut in a black lace gown

The world's biggest film festival commenced on May 13 this year. The Cannes Film Festival is back with its 78th edition, attracting the biggest and the most glamourous faces from the world of movies and fashion. In the span of 3 short days, we have already seen luminaries like Bella Hadid, Irina Shayk, Tom Cruise, Jacqueline Fernandez and more light up the Cannes 2025 red carpet. 

On day 3 of the film festival, Laapataa Ladies actress Nitanshi Goel joined the list of these household names. The 17-year-old actress donned a custom outfit from designer label Jade by Monica and Karishma on the red carpet. The handcrafted black and gold embellished gown, a perfectly age-appropriate choice, made the teen star look ethereal. The design of the dress was inspired by spring florals blooming under the moonlight, which came to life through kasab embroidery and thus, paid homage to Indian traditional artistry. Intricate macramé detailing covered the top half of the gown while a sheer black skirt flowed beneath. The off-shoulder gown's grace was only further magnified thanks to its dreamy silhouette. 

She paired her ensemble with rosy lips and blushed cheeks, which complemented her outfit without taking away any of its attention from the limelight. Her hair was styled in a middle partition and tied back in a ponytail. Nitanshi's gold and diamond necklace and earrings from Carat Lane complemented the intricate floral design of her gown. 

The custom look was the young actress' second look of the day. Her first was a saree by Jade; where her walk was a tribute to legendary Indian female acting icons such as Madhubala, Nargis, Meena Kumari, Nutan, Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh, Vyjayanthimala, Hema Malini, Rekha and Sridevi, as evidenced by her custom hair paranda by Be Abhika designs. Tiny gold frames with black and white photos of these Bollywood visionaries were featured in her handcrafted pearl accessory. 

The pearl hair accessories were on theme with her ivory saree that exuded timelessness. The blouse for the saree was adorned with intricate pearls and fine beadwork, giving the look an ethereal charm. The makeup was equally soft, featuring a hint of blush and pink nude lips. Both of her looks received widespread love from both, fashion critics and general audiences.
