Cannes Film Festival 2025: Alia Bhatt stuns in a ruffled Schiaparelli gown for her red carpet debut

The world hasn't stopped talking about Alia Bhatt's Cannes debut ever since whispers of the news came out. Today, they were finally put to rest as the Bollywood actress finally made turned the much-awaited moment into reality. With the sun setting on the horizon of the French resort town, Alia was snapped outside the iconic Hotel Martinez, shortly before she made her way onto the red carpet. 

The grand moment saw the star styled in a skin-tonal lace gown embroidered gown with white floral lace applique over the entirety of its length. Alia's Cannes debut dress belonged to Schiaparelli's Spring 2025 Couture collection, which featured an exposed bodice with a sweetheart neckline and cold shoulder detailing that rested on her arms. The sheer ensemble led to multi-textured ruffles downward the length until the hemline. Accessories were minimal as ever as Alia simply picked oval pearl earrings and her diamond ring for jewellery.

To keep focus on her ensemble, Alia's hair was slicked back into a sleek bun with baby hair coiled along her forehead. Her makeup for her debut moment was an elevated version of her signature dewy look, featuring shimmery coral eyes, flushed cheeks, dark brows and a glossy lip to pull it all together.

Alia's big Cannes 2025 debut has been heavily discussed, for good reason, too! As a brand ambassador for L'Oreal Paris, it marks a significant milestone in her career and joins the ranks of Cannes regulars and fellow L'Oreal ambassadors, Aishwarya Rai and Eva Longoria, who also attended the red carpet event this year.

Having made appearances at the Met Gala in the past and now, the Cannes Film Festival, the Bollywood star is cementing her place as a global presence and force of fashion.
