In a dazzling affair steeped in craftsmanship, creativity, and couture, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), in partnership with Hyundai Motor India Ltd. and Reliance Brands, unveiled the 18th edition of the Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 at the prestigious Taj Palace, New Delhi ahead of the event anticipated to commence in July 2025. The event marked the beginning of a journey that promises to elevate the very essence of Indian couture, all while forging a seamless union with cutting-edge innovation and luxury fashion.

This year's curtain-raiser, a well-curated spectacle of design and dialogue, commenced with an elegant reception, with a tasteful mix of guests from all fields. Sunil Sethi, Chairman of FDCI, esteemed dignitaries from the automobile giant and friends and supporters of the fashion world were in attendance when Hyundai was announced the title sponsor for the third time this year. This announcement coincides with the 10th anniversary of the iconic Creta with the launch of the highly anticipated Creta EV, ready to make its fashion-forward debut at the upcoming showcase.

This year’s lineup reads like a constellation of India's most revered design voices—Rohit Bal, JJ Valaya, Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Amit Aggarwal, Falguni Shane Peacock, Rahul Mishra, Shantnu & Nikhil, Suneet Varma, Rimzim Dadu, Jayanti Reddy, Rose Room by Isha Jajodia, and Aisha Rao — each bringing their unique sartorial perspective to the runway.

The highlight of the afternoon was a live runway presentation—a visual overture to the grand showcase ahead, in a befitting start to the event. Models sauntered in one signature ensemble from each couturier, offering a poetic preview of the design brilliance to expect this season. From intricate embroideries to bold silhouettes, each piece echoed the language of modern couture, grounded in legacy but elevated for today’s discerning connoisseur.

In an enriching segment, select designers took to the stage for an engaging conversation on craftsmanship and inspiration, offering guests an insider glimpse into the emotion and intent behind their upcoming collections.

This season, Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 is further elevated by the presence of luxury lifestyle partners Grey Goose Altius and Kohler, who add their signature sophistication to the immersive experience—blending fashion, celebration, and indulgence into one unforgettable canvas.

As the curtains rise on the week-long celebration of couture, it becomes evident that this fashion showcase is not just a platform—it is a statement where tradition and innovation with every stitch and seam is a tribute to India's grand (and ongoing) sartorial legacy.
