Celio Saab, the son of renowned Lebanese designer Elie Saab, has married Zein Qutami, a 28-year-old a Senior Account Manager in Jordan, in Faqra; a ski resort near a village in Lebanon. The bride had the best designer to create her wedding couture as having Elie Saab as a father-in-law means that you are about to have a wedding wardrobe better than your dreams.
The wedding festivities began from July 17 to 19, 2025 with 4 separate events; the pre-wedding party, the wedding, the reception, and the after-party having around 1500 guests, attending from all around the world.
Zein's wedding weekend started strong with a welcome dinner, where the soon-to-be bride wore a champagne-coloured gown with an ethereal embroidered cape.
Next, the wedding ceremony followed the Maronite Catholic rite, with his Beatitude, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rai, Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, officiating.
The bridal gown worn by Zein was made of embroidered silk with ivory-coloured sleeves, created through 480 hours of work; the volume alone took 300 hours.
Designing for his daughter-in-law was an easy feat. ""I really like white for a wedding dress—a classic style, perfect for a church ceremony. When designing her dress—as with every bridal gown—her style inspired me and naturally guided me toward what would truly suit her," says Elie Saab, who has dressed many celebrities and royals around the world, such as Rania and Rajwa of Jordan, Victoria of Sweden, Charlene of Monaco, and the Princess of Wales. "Zein and I had a few conversations and exchanges about her tastes and what she liked. Of course, she had ideas, but she simply allowed my creativity to flow. For her, it was natural to trust me." "Designing a wedding dress is a privilege and a sign of trust," says Saab. "It’s an intimate moment, during which a special connection is built between the bride and myself. Every detail becomes meaningful, as it involves translating her emotions, dreams, and expectations into the creation of the gown."
The bride felt similarly about her awe-inspiring wedding dress as well: "It was emotional in the most meaningful way. To wear something designed by someone whose work I’ve long admired and who also happens to be family was incredibly special. It wasn’t just about the dress; it was about the thought, care, and love that went into every stitch. I’ll cherish that feeling forever."
Post the wedding, she changed into an evening gown, an equally stunning creation, designed with more grandeur and drama. The sand-pink-toned gown was made of tulle, embroidered with micro-sequins, pearls, and more than 300,000 Swarovski crystals.
For the after-party, Saab designed an aqua-coloured gown for her, which was adorned in crystals with a heavily-embroidered front, complete with a plunging sweetheart neckline.
Following the wedding, the newlyweds left for a few sun-soaked days along the French Riviera, which they will follow with a sailing itinerary tracing the Amalfi Coast. Post this, the couple will settle into married life at Celio's residence in Abu Dhabi, which has been his home for past 7 years.
