After a fair bit of delay, Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Param Sundari is all set to hit the screens on August 29, 2025. As much as we are excited for another beautiful love story between a North Indian munda and a sundari from the South, it is the sartorial choices Kapoor has been making during the promotion of the film that have got everyone talking.

Extremely evocative of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's Chennai Express, fans have been drawing parallels between the 2013 blockbuster and Param Sundari already. One of the biggest parallels to come out of it is the soft South Indian glamour that the lead actresses of both films carried. Throughout the trailer, we see Kapoor in many outfits that capture the simple yet beautiful style of South India.

Throughout her press tour, Kapoor is staying true to that. Styled by Ami Patel, Kapoor aced South Indian fashion; from florals to South Indian pleats, scroll below to take a look at the best South India-inspired fashion moments of Janhvi Kapoor:

1. Anavila's pastel lehenga

Janhvi Kapoor looked ethereal in Anavila's Kaayal Linen Lehenga, with a custom-made pattern on the skirt and the dupatta featuring elephants in a forest near the backwaters of southern India. Tribe Amrapali's kamarband increased the beauty of the look tenfold.

2. Blooming appliques by Print by Radhika

Janhvi Kapoor opted for a custom ensemble from Prints by Radhika that featured hand-painted blush ensemble blooms on a chiffon three-piece set. The cascading foliage and delicate florals throughout the blush pink ensemble are a blend of contemporary romance that Kapoor effortlessly carried.

3. Florals by Punit Balana

The city of Jaipur served as a muse for Punit Balana while creating this pink floral chiffon saree; the vibrant florals encaptures rajasthan's vivid colour palette. Kapoor stylist Patel paired the saree with a pear-and-bead-embellished blouse. For jewellery she opted for bali's by Tribe Amrapali. Her bangle stack featured Ishaara and Mortantra's creations.

4. Custom Torani

"Torani worked with an artist, Amaahyaaj, to craft the wax malligai blooms that form the saree’s intricate jaal, a couture nod to South India’s most beloved floral adornment," says Patel, Kapoor's stylist, while explaining the craftsmanship and ideation behind this floral creation donned by Kapoor for her new film's promotion. The delicate saree was styled with pearl earrings from Mirari jewels.
