When Heidi Klum is on a guest list that comes with a theme, you can rest assured it isn't going to be a dull evening. The supermodel-slash-reality TV judge attended the Met Gala 2026, which followed the theme of 'Fashion Is Art' in its 2026 edition by interpreting costume and fine art through the ages. While many notable names; from Zendaya to Meryl Streep, chose to skip what is termed as 'fashion's biggest night' this year, Heidi showed up looking spectacular. Always one to follow a theme right down to the perfect footwear, Heidi might have outdone herself at the Met Gala 2026. That's saying a lot about someone who has strapped herself into prosthetics for hours on end to turn out looking her dramatic best for her annual Halloween bash.

Keeping costume art at its very core, Klum transformed into a marble statue for the Met Gala 2026. Cutting a striking figure, she posed in statuesque form with her arms positioned near her hips and shoulders, while her gaze was forward and frozen in time. Her dress, which was modelled on the veiled clothing worn by statues, covered her from top to toe with great detail shown in the pleats over her face and arms, as well the fabric draped across her torso that framed her physique. On her head was a wreath of flowers, from under which her veiled headgear began and on her feet, strap sandals in the same style.
Her ensemble was brought to life by Mike Marino, who was inspired by the famed marble statue called the Veiled Vestal. In 1847, the statue was created by Raffaelle Monti on the commission of William Cavendish, who was the 6th Duke of Devonshire, during his trip to Naples. The statue is the marble representation of the Ancient Roman goddess Vesta, who was the virgin goddess of the hearth and home. Heidi's version was created through the usage of latex and spandex, sculpted to give the outfit the effect of being carved of marble. It also included the supermodel being dolled up in grey body paint, facial prosthetics and contacts to really go over and above.
It may have been a tricky theme to crack but if there's one thing Heidi Klum loves, it's one of them; which made sure she came through with flying colours on the steps of the Met museum.
