1. Luv Restaurant, Mumbai

The monsoon brings a fleeting abundance to Maharashtra’s hill country, with seasonal vegetables and wild ingredients appearing for only a few weeks each year. Luv Restaurant brings this short-lived harvest to the table with Pavsala: Our Love Letter to Maharashtra, a six-course tasting menu created by Chef Akash Deshpande and Sous Chef Rajesh Katrapandi. The menu draws from the food traditions of Maharashtra’s rain-soaked landscapes, using seasonal produce and regional flavours in a contemporary tasting-menu format. With both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, Pavsala offers a thoughtful way to experience Maharashtra through the flavours of the monsoon.

2. Le Café, Mumbai

For those who associate rainy days with steaming bowls and rich broths, Le Café’s Ramen Fest makes a strong case for a cosy meal. The Chicken Lemon & Coriander Ramen offers a zesty, coconut milk-based broth, while the Spicy Prawn and Cantonese Lamb versions bring deeper, bolder flavours to the table. Four cocktails, including Tokyo Smash, Rose & Fire, Maxie Yuzu and Ichigo Eclipse, complete the experience, making this a fitting pick for a leisurely monsoon meal.
