Kate Middleton and Prince William's family outing at the 2026 Commonwealth Games

The Prince and Princess of Wales made a rare public appearance with all three of their children to attend the 2026 Commonwealth Games, for an outing that combined family time with support for Team Scotland. Prince William and Kate Middleton were joined by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they arrived at the sporting event, marking one of the rare recent occasions the family of five has stepped out together.

Kate looked effortlessly polished in a forest green double-breasted blazer layered over a white pleated midi dress with navy stripes, completing the look with nude pumps, pearl drop earrings and her sapphire engagement ring. The Princess smiled and waved to spectators as the family arrived, while William opted for a smart blue blazer paired with navy trousers and an open-collared shirt.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis coordinated in classic summer outfits, with George in a crisp white shirt and navy trousers, Charlotte in a white polka-dot dress with navy trim, and Louis in a powder blue shirt. The siblings were later photographed in the stands, attentively watching the sporting action alongside their parents and members of Team Scotland.

The appearance offered a rare glimpse of the Wales family together in an official capacity. While Prince George and Princess Charlotte have gradually taken on more public engagements in recent years, outings featuring all five family members remain uncommon, making the occasion particularly significant for royal enthusiasts. Blending royal duty with a relaxed family atmosphere, the outing reflected the Waleses' modern approach to public life, balancing official responsibilities with opportunities for their children to experience national celebrations firsthand.
