


As the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival 2026 unfolds on the French Riviera, the red carpet has once again become a stage for fashion at its most cinematic. From sculptural couture and archival revivals to sharply tailored menswear and understated elegance, this year’s festival has delivered a compelling mix of glamour and individuality, which HELLO! India picks their best dressed moments from.

Beginning the second week of the festival's 2026, on day 7 of the event, married couple Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander attended together. The actor wore off-white jacket paired with wide-leg black trousers while the actress complemented the understated palette in a flowing blush-toned midi dress with soft draping, delicate lapels, and a thin tie-waist detail, both finished with slim sunglasses and minimal styling.

Carla Bruni embraced timeless Cannes glamour in a sleek black velvet gown with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit. The fitted silhouette, paired with pointed black heels and sparkling diamond jewellery, gave the look an elegant finish.

Daisy Edgar-Jones shimmered on the red carpet in an embellished gown covered in crystal detailing with a cape-like silhouette and neutral tone, which kept the look refined and understated as it was styled with minimal accessories.

Marking yet another entry in our Cannes best dressed list, Heidi Klum wore a champagne-toned gown that hugged her frame before flowing into a soft train with dramatic white off-shoulder sleeves and layered diamond necklaces.

Sharon Stone chose a sculpted strapless gown that came with a structured corset bodice and flowing embellished cape, which was finished with gloves and sparkling jewellery.

On day 8 of the film festival, Grace Elizabeth attended the premiere of Amarga Navidad wearing a custom black jersey draped gown with an elegant train from Michael Kors Collection.Day

The ninth day of the event saw Cannes veteran Eva Longoria make her way to Southern France. Her pale pink belted shirt dress featured an off-shoulder neckline and relaxed, effortless tailoring. It was styled with matching pointed pumps, a mini top-handle bag, and delicate gold jewellery.

Bella Hadid stunned in a body-skimming white lace gown with a plunging neckline and dramatic mermaid silhouette with diamond jewellery adding a sparkle.

Heidi Klum wore rich cobalt blue draped gown with an off-shoulder neckline, thigh-high slit and structured corset-inspired bodice which enhanced the silhouette, styled with soft waves and black pointed heels.

Irina Shayk opted for understated sophistication in a champagne satin slip dress, which were paired with barely-there heels and a striking sapphire necklace.

Mouni Roy made her way down to the French Riviera and for her look the memo was clear; a gown with a simple silhouette but one with a twist and jewels that spoke for themselves. And so it was.

Jacqueline Fernandez embraced the allure of old Hollywood glamour at Cannes in a breathtaking Richard Quinn SS ’26 creation—a sculpted ivory gown paired with dramatic black opera gloves that balanced timeless elegance with modern couture drama.

For day ten, Demi Moore made sure the blues we'd have once the festival was over was her in a statuesque, bright, blue gown with a dramatic peplum drop waist and a long train.

Tilda Swinton does things differently on the red carpet. It was evident when she chose a metallic, ombre suit to make a statement at the festival.

Penelope Cruz skipped the experimentation and stuck to the classics, simply in a one-shoulder black gown with feather details on it.

Day eleven saw Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrive in a blush pink gown featuring Swarovski crystal floral embellishment and a flowing cape. Along her side was her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, who wore red gown paired with a matching cape for their first official mother-daughter red carpet moment at Cannes.

On day 12 for the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival 2026, Eva Longoria chose a sculpted strapless gown with soft waves in her hair, luminous makeup, and delicate diamond jewellery that kept the styling elegant and polished.

For her third red carpet look in a matter for hours, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan embraced high-fashion drama in an ethereal all-white ensemble of a structured ivory pantsuit layered with intricate embellishment and fluid detailing, with an extravagant feathered cape.

Penélope Cruz embraced timeless sophistication in a strapless black satin gown adorned with painterly white floral detailing across the bodice and skirt. The structured silhouette flared into a voluminous mermaid hem, balancing classic couture elegance with romantic femininity. She completed the look with softly tousled shoulder-length hair, a bold red lip, and understated jewellery that enhanced the monochromatic drama of the ensemble.

Tilda Swinton turned up in a striking scarlet gown defined by fluid pleating and sculptural movement. She paired the gown with pointed red-and-white heels and layered gold necklaces while her platinum blonde hair was swept back into a sleek, sculpted updo hairstyle.
