The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, Aryan Khan's debut Netflix series, has got everyone talking. In addition to garnering attention for Aryan Khan's much-awaited directing debut, among the many talking points are the number of glittering celebrity appearances that the show features in its storyline.
Trust Bollywood Badshah's son, Aryan Khan and him alone to outwit most stars simply because he can. Hail the spoiler alert as we go on an in-depth exploration of all the starry cameos in the show.
The show stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya Lalwani, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa and Vijayant Kohli with Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor. The series follows Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), an ambitious outsider determined to carve a space in Bollywood. Along the way, he discovers the chaotic, glamorous, yet cutthroat nature of the industry.
Owing to Bollywood's glittering facade, many notable names of the industry made equally starry appearances as cameos through the course of the show. In the first episode, we see appearances from Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Disha Patani, Orry, Shanaya Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Rajkummar Rao, and Sara Ali Khan make cameos. The second episode sees Aamir Khan and SS Rajamouli indulge in profound conversations, however stark from their otherwise deep-rooted cinematic experience.
Music is a huge part of the movie, and while Badshah makes an appearance with his witty dialogues and dripping in swag, the highlight was Tamannaah Bhatia's cameo, along with Bollywood's original bad boys, Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, and Ranjeet.
Emraan Hashmi's cameo easily became the internet's hottest conversation starter, and for obvious reasons. His appearance as an intimacy coach is a befitting highlight to his Bollywood career.
The infamous Ghafoor, played by Arshad Warsi reappears in the fifth episode, giving him the funny gangster performa character that he has always been famous for.
To be a show produced by Red Chilies and directed by Aryan Khan and not have a blockbuster cameo by Shah Rukh Khan, would be an opportunity wasted. Thankfully, by now we have understood that this star boy knows how to play his cards right. And trust his smart wit to be used to outwit his own iconic father as seen in the sixth episode. A whole host of Bollywood celebrities appear and reappear, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sara Ali Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Panday, Seema Sajdeh, Neelam Kothari Soni, Shalini Passi, Disha Patani, Orry, Shanaya Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Rajkummar Rao and Arjun Kapoor, all of whom collectively give a nod to Aryan Khan's favourite film, Om Shanti Om.
In case there weren't enough cameos already, Ranbir Kapoor enters the concluding episode, and although controversial, helps this show exit in dramatic smokes.
