Golden Globes 2026: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco ace old Hollywood glamour

Awards season 2026 has kicked off with a bang. At Sunday night's Golden Globes awards, currently taking place in Beverly Hills, the red carpet style quotient gave the spotlight focusing on television and film some serious competition. Fashionably front and centre at California's Beverly Hilton hotel was none other than Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco. The newlyweds posed together in co-ordinated old Hollywood glamour looks; making it one of their earliest red carpet appearances as a married couple. Selena is nominated for the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy award for Only Murders in the Building, where she plays podcasting sleuth Mabel Moira.

Stashing her detective cap away, the star went the vintage chic route for this red carpet and so did her husband. Selena was photographed in a black and white feathered custom Chanel creation. Featuring a flouncy off-shoulder detail with a white feathered trimming of silk chiffon and silk organza over the neckline, it led to a form-fitted black velvet dress that hugged her frame. Chic with a touch of drama, the gown required 323 hours to make and featured approximately 200 embroidered elements throughout its creation. Completing it was shoes by the designer and jewelled earrings and rings from Chanel High Jewellery. The 33-year-old actress extended the Hollywood glam with a sculpted wavy bob hairstyle, rosy cheeks, a burgundy lip and matching nails that aligned perfectly with her ensemble.

Letting his wife steal the spotlight, Benny Blanco kept his outfit simplistic with a couple of funky touches from the accessories. His black double-breasted suit, sans a shirt, and cropped trousers was accented with a stone-encrusted silver neckpiece and embellished loafers.

Whether or not Selena takes home the trophy, it's clear that she's already won—in love and style.
