We bid adieu to the 82nd Venice Film Festival over the weekend. As every year, history was made in the world of cinema by global participants. Although it has had a dark past, in recent years, Venice has become a hotspot for future Oscar winners, such as Dune and Poor Things, and many more movies have premiered at the Venice Film Festival for the first time owing to its esteemed status. With notable movies like Paolo Sorrentino's La Grazia, Emma Stone starrer Bugonia, Jay Kelly featuring George Clooney and Adam Sandler, Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson's House of Dynamite and Cate Blanchett starrer Father Mother Sister Brother competing for the prestigious La Biennale di Venezia.

Kaouther Ben Hania's The Voice of Hind Rajab, produced by Joaquin Phoenix, broke the record for the longest standing ovation ever received by a film at any film festival; the emotional premiere of the film, based on a true tragedy hailing from Palestine, received a 23-minute-long standing ovation, the longest a movie has ever received.

6. Mother-Daughter fashion moment

Heidi Klum and daughter, Leni Klum, turned heads on the red carpet in matching Intimissimi lingerie-inspired gowns. While Heidi showed love for a pink nude colour, her 21-year-old opted for a matching black gown.

Other notable moments over the years that we can't stop thinking about

1. The infamous 'spitgate'

Don't Worry Darlings was one of the most dizzying affairs to hail from the Venice Film Festival. While the movie fared decently, the drama that unfolded behind the scenes was more intriguing. With Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles breaking up, Florence Pugh's disappearance and red carpet shuffles, the movie's press tour was a disaster, to put it lightly.

The cherry on top was when Harry Styles seemingly spat on Chris Pine while sitting next to him during the screening of the film at the Venice Film Festival. Did they or did they not? We're yet to know.

2. That moment between Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain

These are the moments that prompt many to comment about how they could never be an actor; Oscar Isaac was kissing up Jessica Chastain's arm at the red carpet appearance for the premiere of Scenes Of A Marriage, in which they both were playing the main leadsThe slow-motion video of the same circulated on Instagram and Twitter for weeks after, many coining them as 'relationship goals.'
