Today marks the 62nd birth anniversary of Sridevi. One of the most beloved actresses with a career that spanned generations and industries, Sridevi gave the audience some of Bollywood's most iconic performances, in movies like Mr. India, English Vinglish, Chandni, Sadma and many more. Since her tragic death at the age of 54, the legendary star continues to be remembered fondly by her friends and family; especially her husband, Bollywood producer, Boney Kapoor. Today on the occasion of her 62nd birth anniversary, Boney posted a thoughtful remembrance to the late actress to celebrate her life.
Kapoor shared an image from English Vinglish, in which he quipped, "Yesssss You are not 62 today. You are 26 (heart and hug emojis). Happy birthday; we are still reliving all your happy birthdays."
In a previous post, Boney shared an old picture from her 27th birthday celebrations in Chennai. The photo shows the couple captured in a candid moment. He shared the backstory of it in the caption, saying, "In 1990 her birthday party in Chennai when I wished her a happy 26th birthday while it was her 27th birthday to make her feel that she had gone younger & it was a compliment, that with every passing day she is getting younger but she thought I was teasing her." This is an annual tradition wherein he shares her pictures on her birthday; one he has maintained ever since Sridevi's death in 2018.
