Alia Bhatt glitters at the 2026 BAFTA awards in a backless silver sequin Gucci gown

The awards season of 2026 has turned out to be quite the exciting one; not just for fashionistas of the world, but also for the celebrity spotters in India. Priyanka Chopra attended the Grammy awards as a presenter earlier this month and by the looks of it, Alia Bhatt isn't far behind. The Bollywood star, who also identifies internationally as a British actress, is currently making her mark in London as she attends the 2026 BAFTA awards. Not simply a starry guest on the red carpet, Alia will also be a presenter at the event; joining the likes of Alicia Vikander, Ethan Hawke and Patrick Dempsey.

For the BAFTAs, Alia Bhatt chose none other than Gucci to turn heads on the red carpet. As the first Indian global brand ambassador for the label, she has chosen their designs for previous pivotal celebrity moments too; like at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. At the 2026 BAFTAs, Bhatt shimmered in a silver sequin gown that fitted her frame like a glove. The halter neckline framed her shoulders elegantly, while the open back with cutouts that stretched along the side of her torso added just the right hint of drama. Every inch of the dress caught the light perfectly. Draped over her arms was a plush ivory stole, which oozed Old Hollywood charm. Her jewellery choices were minimal with a white stone ring and earrings, which allowed the custom gown that was designed by Demna, to steal the spotlight.

Alia Bhatt's beauty choices followed the same less-is-more philosophy; staying subtle yet striking enough to balance the statement-making dress. Her dark-toned softly waved hair was parted at the centre with a few highlights framing her face. Her makeup leaned towards being luminous and sculpted — bronzed skin, subtly defined cheeks, glittery pink eyes, and a matching rose-toned lip that let the dress do the talking.

If there's one star who knows how to get the cameras clicking, it's Alia.
