Global elite and cinematic luminaries from the world over descended on the coveted Cannes Film Festival, which was held from May 13 to 24. To celebrate the occasion, Indian businessman and philanthropist Rishabh Tongya, Founder of luxury jewellery house DiaColor, co-hosted an unforgettable Bollywood evening alongside the Swiss luxury brand, Chopard, Agro-Tech visionary Jai Shroff of OpenAg Foundation and the gorgeous fashionista Tania Shroff. As official partners of the Festival de Cannes 2025, Chopard has been closely associated with the festival for over 25 years, bringing a signature touch of luxury to the event.

Deeply connected not only to the art of fine jewellery but to the world of luxury as a whole, Rishabh Tongya not only hosted but also meticulously curated this special evening, seamlessly blending the flamboyance of cinema with the timeless elegance of Chopard. “India is a land where opulence meets understatement, and elegance is a way of life,” he shared. “Nothing mirrors our world, every hue and colour of it, like our cinema. Tonight, we don’t just celebrate the art of filmmaking and its artists, we celebrate India and its discerning people,” said Tongya.

Held on the iconic Chopard Rooftop at Hotel Martinez, the evening also spotlighted a meaningful cause, Water for Harmony, a campaign that holds deep significance for the OpenAg Foundation. The OpenAg Foundation is a non-profit committed to advancing food security, enhancing farmer resilience, and supporting smallholder farmers in the face of climate change. Its flagship campaign, Water for Harmony, officially launched at Cannes, aims to bring clean drinking water to over one million people in Southern Africa.

Caroline Scheufele, President of Chopard and the driving force behind the brand’s partnership with Cannes, said, “It’s a pleasure to celebrate Indian Cinema and all its stars tonight, and we at Chopard truly value our deep association with India and look forward to bringing more glamour to Bollywood and being part of India’s luxury landscape.”
