This week, the second and final week of the Cannes Film Festival 2025, has practically been the Super Bowl for Indian celebrity sightings. After Urvashi Rautela and Jacqueline Fernandez attended the red carpet event during the first week, they were followed by names like Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, Natasha Poonawalla and Ishaan Khatter during the second one. Another star who showed up on the red carpet during this week was none other than Aditi Rao Hydari. The Bollywood actress turned up on the red carpet looking like a literal dream come true.
Aditi wore an ombre gown custom-designed by Indian fashion wizard Rahul Mishra. The hand-embroidered ‘Celestial Aura’ strapless gown was first showcased at the Haute Couture Week in Paris Fall/Winter 2024. Crafted over 2,600 human hours, the gown features intricate embroidery using resham threads, sequins and glass bugle tubes to create a seamless ombre of black blending into grey.
Accessories included a gorgeous diamond necklace from Chopard to keep the focus on the gown without detracting from a glamorous moment. Her hairstyle was styled in a minimalistic fashion; straight middle parted hair left loose but kept smooth and silky to continue making sure the gown is the hero of the outfit through and through. As was the case with her makeup, she focused on the sheen of the skin rather than putting a makeup look together that takes away from the outfit.
For her second look at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, Aditi turned towards tried-and-tested ethnic silhouettes. The actress posed against the scenic blue sea in a contrasting red saree by Raw Mango. The simplistic number featured a narrow blue border against its crimson shade, which she wore with a matching broad strap blouse. The Bollywood actress paired it with a gold choker necklace, red bindi and red sindoor marked on her head. Her usually dewy makeup look came with a tint of red on her lips, bronzer contouring her visage and dark brows framing her face.
With the addition of Aditi Rao Hydari to the attendees' list, the red carpet style quotient only went a notch higher.
