Met Gala 2025: Shah Rukh Khan makes iconic Met Gala debut in an all-black Sabyasachi tailored suit

Seeing Shah Rukh Khan in a Sabyasachi ensemble making his Met Gala debut was not on our bingo cards. But here we are, first Monday of May, witnessing history unfold in front of our eyes. When the theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, draws inspiration in a myriad of ways to interpret the perfectly tailored suit, expect Shah Rukh to deliver nothing less in his unique style. For Shah Rukh Khan, a tailored black suit is part of his uniform. Always known to rock a crisp black suit, if one saw an all-black suit, it'd be hard not to imagine the icon in one. Unsurprisingly, it was not hard to believe to see him take this route for such a significant milestone either. At the iconic Met stairway, the King of Bollywood put on display, his sharpest black suit with the help of Sabyasachi's artistry and a stack of jewels from the designer's collection. His finest hour was worthy of a well-deserved Met Gala debut moment to remember. 

Shah Rukh Khan's all-black ensemble featured a long blazer with rolled-up sleeves teamed with a loosely buttoned shirt, trousers, a satin waistband and boots. The loosely buttoned shirt played canvas to the stack of necklaces he was seen donning. He wore layers and layers of pearls, Sabyasachi's signature Royal Bengal Tiger drop necklace but the most evident of them all, the large "K" drop pendant necklace. God is in the details, and the King of Bollywood surely knows a thing or two about being the king of accessories too. Along with his necklaces, he wore multiple chunky rings on all his fingers, a watch, sunglasses and a brooch to top it off. In case you thought we missed it, Shah Rukh Khan walked the Met Gala carpet with a walking cane in tow—a true sign of a modern maharaja making history. 

If there's anything we know for certain, Shah Rukh Khan's Met Gala debut is going down in fashion history books on classic tailored style—all fine and dandy.
