She made a strong case for kurtas, especially one with a little bit of structure for summer workwear, by pairing the kurta with leather boots from The Row, giving a corporate edge to the otherwise traditional outfit. While her kurta made of brocade included many traditional designs that may be a bit glitzy for a corporate setting, its silhouette is what attracted us to the ensemble.

Other creations, such as the printed kurta and pant set by Saundh and the long kurta with dupatta by Misri, in a similar colour palette, are more pared back. These takes on traditional wear are both, fit for work and fun enough to keep you in high spirits throughout the day.

You can also opt for more summery colours, such as the neon yellow kurta, an eye-catching hemline and mirror work that balances traditional design with more contemporary silhouettes.

If you wish to be on top of trends while staying true to traditional wear, opt for colours of the seasons like butter yellow, powder blue and blush pink as pastels are the colours that we are loving this summer. 

Sneakers and dress combos are a big hit; what's to stop us from pairing them with kurtas? Sneakers make just as stunning a statement with kurtas as they do with a dress, adding a youthful cheer to the look. Apart from sneakers, thong sandals and ballet flats are other footwear choices to pick from. You can also take inspiration from Sonam Kapoor and style your traditional ensembles with boots and loafers for an edgier look.

While the celebrity opted for gold stud earrings, a ruby choker, a gold ring and a watch, you can add accessories like big belts, oversized earrings and layers of necklaces for Isabel Marant and Chloe-like bohemian styling. Switch the scroll bag for a structured tote to complete the look.
