Victoria's Secret is in its reboot era. With a wildly successful and talked-about show last year, the American lingerie brand is all set to return with its famed fashion show on October 15, 2025, in New York City. The house that recently launched its Lacie Collection is all set to bring back many classics from the past through the show.

All our classic favourites can once again be expected from the glamorous VS show, yet again through their curated performances, celebrating the iconography through a modern yet refreshed lens. From iconic 'Angels,' old and new, performances from the entertainment industry's biggest names and the flamboyant wings, each show gets bigger and better from here.

The show will be singing a different tune this year as they have recently experienced a change in leadership. In April, Adam Selman, the former executive design director of Rihanna’s lingerie label Savage X Fenty, was appointed to the brand as its new Senior Vice President and Executive Creative Director. This brings a full-circle moment for Selman in his career; he began his career at the lingerie brand under the leadership of the legendary man who gave us angel wings—Zaldy Goco.

Selman's success story is one for the books. Ever since he began his career in this niche field, he has held many significant positions. He has gone from designing Rihanna's iconic Swarovski crystal-encrusted see-through dress at the CFDA Fashion Awards in 2014 to a business visionary. He can also be credited for the vision behind making Savage X Fenty into a size-inclusive loungewear brand, expanding their size range from XXS to 4XL.

Since Selman's previous run at Victoria's Secret, the brand has seen a major transformation. The brand that was once seen as the benchmark of displaying the ideal beauty standards, creating desirable women wearing equally desirable lingerie, came under the scanner. The brand witnessed a major drop in sales and viewership due to the lack of diversity and inclusivity. The widespread public backlash tarnished the image of the brand until very recently, when serious measures have been taken to revive it

Bella Hadid's scene-stealing moment on the Victoria's Secret 2024 runway show

In October 2024, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show made a comeback after a 6-year-long hiatus, in a new and improved avatar. Many original Victoria's Secret 'Angels' returned—Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and the legendary Tyra Banks. Cher, Lisa and Tyla performed live on the ramp, as is the signature of the show since its inception.

Standout moments such as Gigi Hadid's opening moment, her sister Bella Hadid donning a lacy red-hot bra and underwear set, paired with strappy wrap-around stiletto sandals, were reminiscent of everything the show once was in its glory days. Tyra Banks closed the show in a silver-embellished bodysuit and floor-length cloak, marking her first appearance in nearly two decades.

After his return, Adam Selman holds a huge responsibility. He must now lead the brand in a new and diverse direction, drawing from his many personal diverse experiences. If he is able to transform the brand and bring its lost glory back with well-designed, comfortable intimates while keeping in mind the inclusive aspect, drawing in both old and new customers, and the return of their nostalgic fragrances, Victoria's Secret may still have the potential to become iconic again. Between his reputable designs and the company’s ambitious vision, the reboot has the opportunity to land on solid ground come October.
