No matter what the plot is, Wes Anderson movies never fail to be a visual delight. Films like The Grand Budapest Hotel, Asteroid City and The French Dispatch have swept us all into the filmmaker's whimsical world. Retro-themed furnishing, pastel colour palettes and pops of vibrant colours; all of them come together to create a fantastical on-screen dream. At the recent Cannes 2025 film festival, Wes Anderson's latest movie The Phoenician Scheme premiered in Southern France. Clean lines, symmetrical compositions, and the incorporation of vintage and retro elements are a must in a movie directed by him; which was also seen in his recent release. His unique style of set production and direction have earned him a name in the world of filmmaking, as well as in set design. Entering his whimsical and charmed world doesn't only happen in his movies, however. Eateries across the world, from Mumbai to Milan and further, have taken inspiration from the auteur's style of film design and translated it into their own decor, which we've listed below.

1. Jamjar Diner, Mumbai

Cosy interiors, a pastel palette and a classic rocket jukebox are the defining features of this cosy Wes Anderson-style cafe in Mumbai's Bandra. The cafe; designed by OCD or Office of Cognitive Designs, is a masterclass in bringing out old-school charm and youthful vibrancy together. Split into two parts, the charming eatery has a separate dive space complete with a bar and a main dining area. It is colourful and brilliant all at once, making it an ideal spot to dine out on a weekend.

2. Pink Zebra, Kanpur

If you are a fan of Wes Anderson's decor style, chances are you already knew of this spot. Pink Zebra, a restaurant and bar in Kanpur, is evocative of Wes Anderson's movie designs. Decked in white, black and bubblegum pink stripes, it truly is an eye-catching architectural creation. The playful and vibrant space is characterised by the geometric style of decor, which turns it into a fantasy land.

3. Papa's, Mumbai

A 12-seater fine dining restaurant with an intimate and playful atmosphere, Papa's Bombay is perched right atop Veronica's in Bandra, Mumbai. Warm and comforting, the decor features plenty of wood accents, making the small space cosier. The walls are decked with textured, geometric and colourful wallpaper. If there was a Wes Anderson-style filter to exist, the decor of this dining space would be proof of its existence.

4. Cafe Palladio, Jaipur

The first word that comes to the mind when entering Cafe Palladio is whimsical; blue and white walls, a checkered floor and ornate ceilings give this Kanpur-based cafe a charming vibe that will leave diners in awe. In the royal haven of the country, Cafe Palladio is another opulently-designed gem in the city's portfolio. The white and blue colour palette of the restaurant give it a refreshing feel, while the traditional patterns make it feel homely.

Come for the food, but stay for the interiors at Blah!, which is an Wes Anderson-inspired cafe by happenstance. Following an Instagram-born concept that refers to styles that weren't meant to be inspired by Wes Anderson, this spot in Mumbai evokes the distinct style and feelings associated with the filmmaker's signature style of decor.

6. Bar Luce, Milan

One step inside the whimsical world of Bar Luce in Italy's Milan is enough to transport you to the set of a Wes Anderson movie. The pastel-coloured walls, the stylish furniture, and the charming details seem to pop straight out of the cafe, which are a visual delight evoking the charm of a long-lost Italy. On the food front, the cafe offers up a wide variety of coffee and cakes that bring delight with every bite as you soak in the ambiance.

This gram-worthy cafe in Ukraine's Odessa can be characterised by its pop of colours. The cafe's interiors feature mastery in marrying pastel colours with whimsical shapes and patterns. The cafe is reminiscent of The Grand Budapest Hotel, thanks to the interior that is set to engage your interest.

A renowned attraction in Germany's Dresden, Pfunds bakery, that is known as 'the world's most beautiful dairy shop' was founded by the Pfund brothers in 1880. It is famous for its elaborate interior design with hand-painted tiles adorning the walls, floor, and counter. The shop rooms are lined with Villeroy & Boch tiles, decorated with Neo-Renaissance patterns and illustrations, and designed in collaboration with local artists. The shop survived the massive bombing of Dresden during the Second World War and has retained its historic appearance to this day. Its most famed offerings are milk, dairy products, and wine.

Henley's is a symmetrical and colourful cocktail bar and eatery located in the Teneriffe location of Brisbane in Australia. The cafe features a bar that is similar to the one we see in Wes Anderson's Asteroid City. The cafe is dubbed as a ‘culinary adventure of the Orient.’ The bar features a pastel yellow and green palette, vintage furnishings, and 'accidentally Wes Anderson' prints perfectly placed on the walls, which look like they are straight out of Pinterest.
