A spectacle of silver: Inside HELLO! India’s evening with Ravissant in Hyderabad

Hyderabad’s high society came together for an evening that lived up to its name. A collaboration between HELLO! India and the legacy silverware brand Ravissant, “A Spectacle of Silver” celebrated the brand’s five-decade legacy of master craftsmanship. Hosted by HELLO! India Editor Ruchika Mehta and Ravissant promoters Charu Chawla and Malini Chawla Saigal, the occasion brought together the city’s most discerning patrons.

On display were tables lined with an array of Ravissant’s silverware, from sculptural vases and ornate frames to cutlery and intricate religious figurines, showcasing both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary styles. From objects designed for the home to pieces with a more ceremonial character, each collectable offered something different to discover. The evening unfolded as a showcase of silver, with the sunlight filtering into the room and catching the surfaces of each piece as guests moved from one vitrine to the next. Conversations flowed easily between admiration for the craftsmanship on display and the pleasure of an afternoon spent among familiar faces. 

The collection offered plenty to pause over, with the variety of pieces giving Hyderabad’s tastemakers a chance to experience the expertise up close, away from the usual confines of a showroom visit. The setting itself was designed to let the collection do the talking, with each piece given the room to be admired in its own space. The breadth of the collection was a reminder of just how far the brand’s repertoire extends — from pieces rooted in age-old silversmithing techniques to those with a more modern, minimal sensibility, each reflecting Ravissant’s ability to move fluidly between heritage and reinvention.

The afternoon also underscored HELLO! India’s continued association with the finest names in Indian luxury and craftsmanship, making it an apt host for an occasion built entirely around heritage and artistry. Bringing together an influential guest list with one of the country’s most storied silverware houses made for an evening that felt both intimate and distinctly memorable. Among the city’s fondest patrons of high living who turned up to toast the evening were Pinky Reddy, Prachi Patodia, Kamini Saraf, Jayanti Reddy, Vibhu Muppana, Vidhatri Muppana, Ishita Muppana, Nitya Reddy and Parvathy Reddy, and Jayanti Reddy. 

By the end of the evening, the room had done exactly what Ravissant’s silver has always done best — turned heritage into something to be admired up close, and craftsmanship into the evening’s true guest of honour. It was, in every sense, a soirée that celebrated heritage, artistry, and the enduring shine of silver.
