The Vasant Valley School Community Golf Cup 2026, held with HELLO! India as an Associate Sponsor, brought together parents, students, and golf enthusiasts for an evening that celebrated not just the sport, but the sense of community it fosters. Held at The Piano Man in New Delhi, the gathering unfolded as a warm and lively affair, marked by easy conversations, shared moments, and a collective appreciation for the game.

In attendance was Ms. Sonal Malhotra of Vasant Valley, Mrs. Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson and Executive Editor-in-Chief of the India Today Group and Mr. Raj Singh Bhandal, Director of Education at India Today, amongst other guests. Raj shared his thoughts on the golf-led initiative, saying, "[I'm] super excited! We've had a long day of golf through the day and now it's a switch over to celebrations at night". On being asked about the importance of sports education, especially for children, Raj weighed in, saying, "It could be golf, it could be any sport for that matter. I think it's super important. I think it's one of those things that gets people out and physically active, especially outdoors as well. We don't do enough of it. We're just stuck indoors, behind screens, so it's good for kids...it's good for everyone!" On his goals for the rest of 2026, he added, "More events that we do! More connecting with friends [it's] what I call call social fitness, which is getting fit but having fun together."
Set against the backdrop of live music, the evening carried a relaxed yet celebratory energy. Guests mingled over food and drinks, creating a space that felt as much about connection as it did about competition. Families attended together, with children and parents engaging in conversations that extended beyond the course, reflecting the inclusive spirit of the event.

At its heart, the evening was about recognising achievement while nurturing a deeper engagement with sport. Winners of the tournament were celebrated with enthusiastic applause and their accomplishments adding to the sense of occasion. Yet, the focus remained as much on participation and camaraderie as on accolades, reinforcing the idea that sport is as much about the journey as the result.
Throughout the evening, conversations naturally turned to the role of sports like golf in shaping young minds. Many spoke about the importance of introducing children to such disciplines early on, highlighting the values of patience, focus, and resilience that the game instils.

Blending the ease of a social gathering with the purpose of a sporting celebration, the evening captured the essence of what the Vasant Valley School Community stands for—bringing people together through shared interests and meaningful experiences. Equal parts celebration and connection, the Vasant Valley School Community Golf Cup 2026 was a reflection of how sport can unite generations, creating memories that linger long after the final putt.
