The Cannes Film Festival 2026 has long been synonymous with cinematic glamour, but this year, Alia Bhatt delivered a beauty and jewellery moment that felt refreshingly modern in its restraint. Returning to Cannes for her second appearance at the festival, the L'Oréal Paris ambassador embraced soft luminosity and Riviera-inspired elegance, pairing radiant skin, softly defined eyes and glossy brunette hair with a striking coral couture gown and an extraordinary high jewellery creation.

Instead of dramatic contouring or heavily sculpted makeup, the look centred around fresh, dewy skin that allowed her natural features to remain at the forefront. A soft golden flush across the cheeks added warmth, while subtly defined eyes and feathered lashes brought understated depth without overpowering the overall aesthetic. Her lip colour stayed within a muted rosy-brown family, complementing the coral tones of the gown rather than competing with them.

Hair played an equally important role in shaping the overall mood of the look. Styled in softly polished waves with a rich brunette finish, it brought fluidity and softness to the gown.
The couture dress by Tamara Ralph further amplified the beauty narrative. Rendered in a luminous coral tone, the structured column silhouette featured a corseted bodice, sweetheart neckline and dramatic back train that added theatricality without feeling excessive.
Completing the appearance was a remarkable high jewellery creation by Amrapali titled The Golconda Rosé. The necklace brought together contemporary glamour and Indian craftsmanship with striking precision. Handcrafted in white gold by Jaipur artisans, the piece featured 168.27 carats of rare pink coral alongside over 20 carats of diamonds. At the centre of the necklace sat a rare 5.53 carat Golconda Type IIa diamond, celebrated for its exceptional purity and brilliance.
Rather than relying on excess, Alia Bhatt embraced a softer, more refined approach to red carpet glamour where the result felt cinematic, contemporary and unmistakably her own.
