IGNIV: There are meals that satiate your appetite and then, there are meals that speak to your soul. My dinner at IGNIV fell under the latter category. Located in The St. Regis Bangkok, it marks the Swiss-founded restaurant's first entry outside Europe with its first (and only) outpost in Asia. IGNIV; founded by notable Swiss chef Andreas Caminada, translates to 'nest' in Romansh and the first trail from the front door to the bar and then, to the dining table showcases a modern take on what a nest could be. Splayed with a candy wall, neon signage and deep-toned walls when you enter, it transforms to a warmly-lit contemporarily-styled dining area that overlooks the lush hotel foliage. The bar is stocked with the world's finest liquor and celler; with wines even from tiny French villages so expect to be spoiled for choice. The food menu embraces Swiss cuisine as its heart with Thai influences sprinkled in throughout its multitude of courses (with mine nearly reaching 20) that's designed for sharing; further proving that family-style fine dining can be a delightful reality. Highlights from the four courses of snacks was one which topped a beignet with caviar and the other that gave magic mushrooms a new meaning by combining white fungus with a pool of dashi and topping of truffle. The line-up of starters showcased a langoustine-carrot-kimchi as well as tomato-parsnip-fennel mélange that could convert even the most defiant into vegetable lovers. Divinely-tender trout came with a touch of red chilli; which was only right, considering we were in the capital of Thai chillies while Sweetbread also pay Thai homage with its inclusion of green curry in the dish. Next, the mains begin and succulent venison that's tender enough to eat with a fork and is served with fermented garlic is a standout. The lettuce that's drizzled with macadamia and washed in brown butter is a nutty, umami delight that makes one forget meat even exists. Desserts feature gingerbread with Thailand's famed single-origin cacao from chanthaburi with caramel that takes me back to Christmas in a bite as well as a soufflé that is so light to bite into, you'd think it was a cloud parading as a dessert. But we aren't done just yet. Honing into its shared concept, the candy wall at its entry isn't just for décor—it's also for a sweet treat at midnight when you're reminiscing your magnificent meal at IGNIV. Head Chef Arne Riehn leads us to the famous dessert wall; where we leave on a literal sweet note, with our choice of caramels and gum drops from their hand-made selection. Calling it simply a meal at the five-time Michelin-starred IGNIV would be an understatement; it's an out-and-out sensorial experience. Swiss precision; usually seen in watch-making, is visible in the cuts and combination through every course with due ode paid to Thailand most stunningly. Luxury is evident through every bite, sip and sniff and yet, there's no stuffiness with sharing at its core. It's meal that stays with you long after the return flight home ends.

Cottons Jaipur: With a heat wave currently enveloping the country, slipping into summer-appropriate clothing is only fitting to beat the heat. How I'm attempting to do that; albeit stylishly, is by stocking my wardrobe with all cotton everything. That's how the Indian label Cottons Jaipur has come to be a frequent choice on my summer fashion line-up. Made of high-quality cotton fabric in Rajasthan, the label offers a variety of home furnishings, men's shirt and womenswear. Their female fashion selection is really where they shine with ethnic-leaning cotton clothing. Their kurtas, kaftans and co-ord sets won't only make you look pulled together with their minimally chic designs and floral patterns but will also keep you feeling cool, regardless of how high the temperature rises. There's also a festive collection to pick for dressier ethnic wear and mighty chic crisp cotton sarees on days you'd want to up your ethnic game. And if you want to go to bed waking up cool and also looking cute, their printed nightsuits are worth a long look-through. The fabric rests lightly on the body, absorbs efficiently on sweaty days and has become my ideal pick to look well-turned out in the heat. With a name itself that makes it an obvious choice, it's becoming my hot favourite for both, scorching commutes to work as well as sunny weekends spent lounging at home.

Lakmē Salon's K-ssence Peel Protocol: It may only be the start of summer but already, the effect that the high temperature can have on the skin can be dire with clogged pores and residual sheen that never seems to leave. The K-ssence Peel Protocol, which is part of Lakmē Salon's new Skin Renewal Ritual roll-out, turned out to be exactly what my skin was longing for. The advanced exfoliation treatments is powered by Jeuderm’s clinical precision and works thoroughly but not invasively to clean out every speck of gunk from the skin. My treatment began with two steps of cleansing that was deeply applied by the technician to really clean the skin out for the peel to work effectively. Next, an AHA Primer is applied to the face in order to ready the skin for the most important step to come i.e. the peel itself. The technician then customises the peel from amongst the Jeuderm system which is either ZYMO for an enzyme-based option that focuses on surface-level exfoliation and hydration or NOVA, which is made for intense resurfacing on a deeper level. Mine; the ZYMA peel, was applied as a thin layer and while it dried on the face, a tingling feeling was evident but without any discomfort. Once removed, a layer is applied to balance the skin's pH level and finally, a recovery face mask to soothe the face that's wonderfully massaged into the skin and ready it to step out into the real world. An hour later, I walk out with my face feeling cleaner, softer and brighter. Not only does my face feel noticeably clean and bouncier to the touch, the hour-long treatment is perfectly timed for a quick lunch break pick-up even on a weekday when you want to walk back into work with skin that's more refined and smooth.

Nadoo: In the ever-changing culinary landscape of Delhi, many restaurants get lost in trying to fit into the template of what defines a good restaurant. Nadoo was a rare exception. The terracotta interiors mixed with a modern Indian flair add familiarity to the traditional. This is extended to the thoughtfully curated menu as well. South Indian cuisine, specially created intentionally by Chef Shri Bala, felt both rooted and refreshingly reimagined. At Nadoo, flavours are the real heroes, whether in their food or the cocktails. Everything else follows. Some of the standout dishes are the fiery Andhra Mirapakayi Kodi served with soft baos, the nostalgic Egg Puffs, the Spicy Pepper Prawn Thokku and the vegan Chettinad Saiva Meen Varuval that surprises you in the best way. If you’re someone who values depth, heritage, and storytelling through food, Nadoo is an experience you shouldn’t miss.

Marché Luna Strap Heels in Royal Sapphire: When I stumbled upon this super new online shoe store on Instagram, I didn't think I needed new heels until I viewed these bright blue satin kitten heels from Marché. All the cool girls are wearing this style, and as a certified cool girl myself, self-proclaimed, of course, I had to own them. The webstore is easy to navigate, right from selection to payment to delivery. The heels are as stylish as they are comfortable and true to the visual representation as shown on the website. The bright blue hue is a true eye-catcher and is perfect for all summer occasions, whether to colourblock or to sync in monochrome, from day to night. The variety of colours offers a cheerful palette for the rest of the summer, should one choose to make many more colourful additions to match every outfit. The budget-friendly price tag definitely allows for many more inclusions for sure. Whether you're looking for a footwear wardrobe refresh or an excuse for retail therapy, this pair is an effortless yes.

Hair styling and Kérastase Fusio-Dose treatment at Geetanjali Salon: Trying out the Geetanjali Salon for a haircut almost proved to be a deliberate act of self-indulgence. The newly opened outpost at Unity One, Netaji Subhash Place offers an expansive yet intimate space with a plethora of services at their disposal, curated by a team that greets all its customers with warmth and personalised care. I opted for a soft layered haircut with their senior hairdresser suggesting adding a shorter layer to define the face structure in the front. Thanks to the handful of his suggestions, the final look seemed straight out of a movie. What stood out for me, however, was the care woven into every step. A Kérastase Fusio-Dose treatment, which was given right after the hair wash, added a layer of nourishment and conditioning, leaving the hair visibly smoother, glossier, and undeniably healthier. My hair has never felt or looked better after a salon visit, and if I weren't constantly debating whether to go shorter or keep my hair length longer, I'd be back every other week.
