Eat At:

Sahib Room & Kipling Bar, The St. Regis Mumbai: Most fine-dining revolves around excellent flavour and exotic ingredients. At the Sahib Room & Kipling Bar, tucked within The St. Regis Hotel's contemporarily plush walls, food comes with a side of history. Based on the life and times of author Rudyard Kipling, his travels across India and his most famous novel i.e. The Jungle Book, the glamping-chic ambiance, the canine statues stoically guarding the entrance as a tribute to his pets and staff titled after his fictional characters reiterate its roots through its glorious setting. Their menu repeats that once more, but this time, most deliciously. The cocktail selection includes a dizzying number of concoctions that retrace Kipling's steps through India, from kokum-infused The Bay, which honours his birthplace of Mumbai to Bring Me Betels, which is an ode to Benaras, which inspired his great work, Kim. The authentic Indian cuisine has an old-world charm, as an homage to the Sahib era. Spices are used with generosity and flavour abounds in every bite; whether it was the very grand rock lobster with chilly, saffron and dehydrated pomegranate or the mutton seekh kebab that was tender enough to eat with a fork. Popular favourites; from Paneer Makhanwala to Nihari, feature throughout the menu but it was the Chef Taj's very unique Gucchi pulao and a delightfully-fragrant Jingha Dum Masala that mustn't be missed. Leaving the Sahib Room didn't only include a full stomach but a mind playing back stories of yesteryear India and bygone eras, rich in stories.

Buy:

FUJIFILM's Instax Mini 13 camera: Existing in this digital era has created a deep desire to go back to analog life for many; myself included. So when a polaroid camera went from my wishlist to a parcel on my doorstep, my excitement was palpable enough that you'd think it was Christmas morning. With colour options from pastel green to purple (which is my very adorable choice), the compact-sized camera can easily be fitted into a handbag but it's aesthetically-pleasing enough that you might even want to clutch it like an accessory. A pack of film sheets are all that's required for you to get clicking—allow it to develop for a minute and then (instantly!) hold a print of your cherished memory in your hand. As AI becomes part of daily lingo, re-routing to objects that can be touched, felt and made have become even more treasured; which is why the Instax Mini 13 fits into this age so perfectly. Its ability to produce movie-style polaroids to paste on one's walls or create a scrapbook full of times to remember forever has allowed me to revisit the days when I leafed through stacks of photo albums. This time however, the photo-snapping experience is more stylish and handier than ever before; making this the staple on every memorable getaway to come.

Try:

Over & Oat: I like to proudly call myself an oats girlie much before the protein boom began. But even on my most dedicated days, long hours and longer schedules don't always allow me to stir up a serving of piping hot oats or make an overnight batch before a workout. Which is why I found Over & Oat to be just the smartest concept. Termed as India's first ready-to-eat overnight oats, the single-serving jars come in flavours like vanilla and espresso. Those in Mumbai can order them online on Swiggy, pop them in the fridge until it's time to consume and then crack these bad boys open for your next meal. Each serving was incredibly filling, very tasty and doesn't have any gluten or refined sugar but is vegan and has 20 grams of protein. Not only is it a great option if you're a fitness enthusiast or clean diet conscious, even though I spent most of my day between pillar and post, I was thrilled that I could pat myself on the back for still getting in a healthy breakfast that satiated me and I enjoyed eating—on the go, no less!

Eat At:

Tamra, Shangri-La Eros New Delhi: I love a dining experience that feels as much about the atmosphere as it does the food, and Tamra gets that balance just right. Its vibrant, lively setting makes every meal feel like an occasion, while the nine interactive cooking theatres bring an exciting sense of theatre to the table. I can wander between authentic South East Asian, Japanese, Indian and European flavours, sampling a little of everything without ever feeling like I'm having the same meal twice. The service is warm and engaging, which only adds to the easy-going indulgence. If you're looking to make a weekend meal feel special, the Sunday brunch is especially worth trying. And for more intimate celebrations, the private dining room adds that extra touch of understated luxury.

Buy:

New Balance AC Runner Shoes: I’m always drawn to pieces that work hard without looking like they’re trying too hard, and the new New Balance AC Runner fits that brief perfectly. In classic white, it has a sleek, modern feel that makes it just as easy to style with everyday separates as it is to wear for a workout. What I particularly like is its versatility—it is designed to move with you through conditioning runs, gym sessions, team practice and even those slower post-training hours. It feels like the kind of pair you can put on in the morning and not have to think about changing all day. For anyone building a more effortless, functional wardrobe, this is one performance sneaker worth adding to the rotation.

Try:

Weekend getaway at the Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa: There’s something wonderfully restorative about escaping to Jim Corbett during the monsoon, when the surrounding wilderness feels greener, quieter and almost cinematic. At Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa, I can imagine spending a slow morning by the Kosi River before indulging in a day of self-care. Slowing down with regional culture served hot with a cup of masala chai and pakodas at the end of the day sounds like exactly the kind of rainy-day ritual I’d want on a weekend away. Then there’s the adventure element—a sunrise safari or village trail brings just the right amount of excitement to an otherwise indulgent stay. No matter your requirement for a monsoon getaway, the destination makes for a wholesome escape that combines quiet luxury, nature and a little adventure.
