A glimpse into Vedant Birla and Tejal Kulkarni's elegantly understated South Mumbai wedding

For decades now, the Birla name been synonymous with legacy and refinement. The recent wedding of Vedant Birla, the son of industrialist Yash Birla, to Tejal Kulkarni proved why that has always been so. Held at the family’s glorious Malabar Hill residence in South Mumbai, the intimate ceremony exuded quiet luxury, blending traditional Indian wedding customs with the understated elegance that defines the Birla family. Amid fragrant blooms and soft candlelight, Vedant and Tejal exchanged vows in the presence of only their closest friends and family. Their pheras were a deeply personal affair, grounded in tradition.

Later that evening, the newlyweds hosted a grand reception at The St. Regis, Lower Parel, which brought together the city’s crème de la crème.The guest list was as eclectic as it was impressive. From Bollywood celebrities like Bhumi Pednekar, Aditya Seal and Urvashi Rautela to power couples like Neelam Kothari and Sameer Soni, and Aadar Jain with wife Alekha Advani; the evening was a portrait of Mumbai’s social elite. Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal, Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra Jain, and Seema Sajdeh also added to the sparkle. Political dignitaries, too, were part of the celebration. Uddhav Thackeray, Rashmi Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde were among those who extended their wishes to the newlyweds.
