Cannes Film Festival Day 7: Team HELLO!'s best dressed celebrities, from Mouni Roy to Carla Bruni

Beyond the appreciation of cinema from all across the globe, the Cannes Film Festival is a well-known spectacle for fashion lovers. Trends straight off the runway parade on the red carpet, while being worn by some of the most notable faces of international cinema. From Bollywood celebrities like Jacqueline Fernandez and Urvashi Rautela to Hollywood greats like Nicole Kidman and Eva Longoria, the stars are shining brighter than ever in Southern France right now. On day 7 of the festival, take a look as numerous celebrities continue to leave their mark in their sophisticated outfits, from which Team HELLO! has picked their favourites.

1. Mouni Roy

For her appearance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, Mouni Roy opted for a black and blue embroidered dress with a slit on the side. She chose a triple-layered necklace from Chopard with a second necklace featuring a delicate blue stone. Her hair was styled in a delicate bun, with makeup by Dior beauty. 

2. Daisy Edgar Jones 

The 26-year-old actress walked the Cannes red carpet in a full-length strapless black sequin Gucci dress, pairing it with a diamond necklace from Boucheron. She kept her makeup clean with nude lips, blushed cheeks and minimal eye makeup. 

3. Dakota Johnson 

Dakota Johnson opted for a blushed pink dress with fringed details all over it; her dangling diamond leaf earrings added to the glitz and glamour of the dress. Her signature bangs framed her face, with blushed pink cheeks and glossy pink lips characterising the makeup.  

4. Jameela Jamil 

Jameela Jamil opted for a green dress with poofy sleeves, creating a short trail behind her. She paired her pistachio green outfit with white pumps and hoop earrings. For makeup she opted for winged eyeliner and glossy lips.  

5. Veena Praveenar Singh 

Venna looked dazzling in what could only be dubbed a modern take on a saree. The white and silver costume featured a netted skirt over a white bodysuit. A silver pallu went over her shoulder, gathered with an embellished brooch. 

6. Shalini Passi 

Reviving mermaidcore, Shalini Passi opted for custom Manish Malhotra for her third appearance at the 78th edition of the prestigious film festival. The strapless gown featured a sweetheart neckline with an embellished top in shades of blue; the printed skirt was gathered to look like a mermaid's tail and featured a pan-Indian depiction from Kashmir to Kanyakumari inspired by a Paresh Maity's artwork. She paired her look with a diamond necklace and earrings and gathered her hair on top in a bun.  

7. Carla Bruni 

The OG Cannes queen, Carla Bruni, stuns on day 7 at the Cannes Film Festival in a dark green-coloured dress by Anthony Vccarello for Saint Laurent, pairing it with a diamond statement ring and diamond bracelet from Chopard. She completed her look with dainty black heels and left her almond-coloured tresses open. 

8. Stella Maxwell

The 35-year-old Belgian model, Stella Maxwell, walked the coveted red carpet in a black embroidered dress with a  plunging neckline that had a bikini-like top and a short trail. Maxwell gathered her hair in a sleek ponytail while opting for smokey eyes and nude lips. The most eye-catching feature of her ensemble had to be the pearl and diamond necklace gracing her neck. 

9. Simi Garewal

Looking as graceful as ever, Bollywood legend Simi Garewal made a hypnotising appearance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in an embroidered white gown and jacket set with pearl detailing that was difficult to look away from. She paired her white gown with matching white flower necklace and pearl earrings while carrying a white clutch.
