India's biggest celebration of couture continues to bring together the country's leading designers, each presenting a distinct vision of Indian craftsmanship through a contemporary lens. Hyundai India Couture Week 2026, in association with Nexxus New York and presented by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), has once again become a showcase of heritage, innovation and storytelling, with every presentation extending far beyond the runway.

On day 5 of the event, the spotlight shifted to Arpita Mehta, who made her India Couture Week debut with Ceremonial, a collection that reimagined India's textile heritage for the modern woman. Revisiting crafts such as bandhani, banarasi, tissue and kantha, the designer celebrated ceremonial dressing as something deeply personal and constantly evolving. Signature mirror work was layered with vintage-inspired gemstone embroidery across sculpted lehengas, fluid sarees, contemporary drapes and occasion separates that balanced tradition with modern ease.

Adding to this season's celebration of Indian craftsmanship, Kunal Rawal unveiled Rawalgarh, a bold expression of contemporary Indian menswear. Presented at Hyundai India Couture Week 2026, the collection explored the intersection of heritage, innovation and modern tailoring through engineered textiles, intelligent construction and evolving craftsmanship. Reinforcing Rawal's signature approach to occasion wear, Rawalgarh reimagined traditional Indian menswear with refined silhouettes and contemporary design, highlighting how couture continues to evolve while remaining rooted in artisanal excellence.

Jayanti Reddy presented The Gilded Era, where timeless elegance met the designer's signature celebration of Indian craftsmanship. Rooted in the idea of quiet luxury, the collection explored refined couture through intricate embroidery, rich textiles and graceful silhouettes that balanced tradition with modern sophistication. Playing with light, texture and artisanal detail, the collection showcased the enduring beauty of handcrafted techniques while embracing contemporary design. The result was a series of elegant creations that reflected Reddy's understated aesthetic, offering a fresh interpretation of occasion dressing that honoured India's textile heritage.

Dolly J unveiled Brāhm at Hyundai India Couture Week 2026, presenting a collection that explored themes of quiet transformation through heritage craftsmanship and contemporary couture. Blending delicate embellishment with fluid silhouettes, the showcase reflected the designer's signature romantic aesthetic while drawing inspiration from timeless Indian artistry. The collection celebrated the beauty of thoughtful craftsmanship, with intricate surface detailing, soft textures and elegant forms coming together to create a sense of effortless sophistication. Balancing tradition with modernity, Brāhm offered a contemporary vision of couture that embraced refinement, individuality and enduring craftsmanship.

Aisha Rao brought romance to the forefront with Priyasi, a couture collection inspired by the many stories of love that have shaped history, literature, mythology and art. The collection celebrated love in its many forms through intricate craftsmanship, evolving silhouettes and emotionally driven design. Blending the designer's signature contemporary aesthetic with couture artistry, Priyasi reflected how timeless narratives continue to inspire modern occasion wear.

The finale showcase at India Couture Week 2026 was the Rahul Mishra show, who unveiled DEVI; a collection that reimagined the eternal muse through the lens of ancient Indian sculpture. Translating centuries of artistic heritage into contemporary couture, the showcase highlighted the designer's mastery of exceptional hand embroidery and craftsmanship. Drawing from India's sculptural traditions, DEVI explored femininity, divinity and enduring beauty, reaffirming Rahul Mishra's ability to bridge heritage and innovation through haute couture.
