HELLO! India Exclusive: Khushi Kapoor on the look she'd steal from Janhvi Kapoor's closet and more

Fashion and Bollywood go hand-in-hand but the entrance of Gen Z celebrities and the respective style they've brought along has opened a brand new realm for celebrity fashion in the film industry. Khushi Kapoor, who stands amidst contemporaries like Shanaya Kapoor and Rasha Thadani, leads the pack. As the youngest daughter of late Sridevi and sister of Janhvi Kapoor, whose personal style veers from summery to glam in the period of a finger snap, Khushi knows a thing or two about looking good. As the newly announced brand ambassador for AZORTE along with Vedang Raina, the Gen Z stylista spoke exclusively to HELLO! India about which trend rules her heart, her sister Janhvi's style advice and more.

HELLO! India: If you had to steal one look from Janhvi Kapoor's closet for a red carpet, which would it be?

Khushi Kapoor: I’d go for one of her bold corset dresses; she wears them with such confidence.

HELLO! India: Do you ever give each other fashion advice, and can you share some of it?

Khushi Kapoor: Always! Janhvi usually tells me to add a bit of glam, and I tell her to add a little touch of laid-back chic. So somewhere in between shimmer and sneakers, we find balance.

HELLO! India: Who would you say are better dressers—Gen Z or millennials, and why?

Khushi Kapoor: Gen Z, hands down. We experiment more, we mix high and low, vintage and new, and we don’t take fashion too seriously. It’s about self-expression, not rules.

HELLO! India: Which Gen Z fashion icon’s style has inspired you?

Khushi Kapoor: I love Dua Lipa’s style. It’s nostalgic, experimental, and totally unexpected.

HELLO! India: Why is Azorte a perfect fit with your personal style?

Khushi Kapoor: Because it’s versatile. Some days I’m in a dreamy mood and I’ll pick a Luxe Boheme co-ord set, and other days I want to go full power-dresser in a pretty pink waistcoat-dress. AZORTE lets me switch between moods and feel my best without losing my personality.

HELLO! India: What is one Gen Z trend you secretly love and one you just can’t get behind?

Khushi Kapoor: I’m obsessed with the cherry lacquer trend—it’s bold, festive, and instantly lifts your mood. I’m not the biggest fan of the super chunky dad sneakers.

HELLO! India: What’s one fashion risk you took that totally paid off?

Khushi Kapoor: A head-to-toe polka dots looks, and I thought I was going overboard. But it ended up being one of my most loved looks. That’s the thing about fashion risks, they’re usually the ones you remember.
