Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw was not the best at advising on men and money, but fashion? There, you could trust her judgement. Her sartorial sense was the character's highlight, who had an otherwise dicey track record when it came to making sensible decisions. On August 14, 2025, the Sex And The City (SATC) universe ended with the third season of its spin-off, And Just Like That. After having existed since 1998, it marked a notable end to the series after six original seasons, two shows and two movies. The show centred around female friendships, the complexities of love, and explored fashion in all its facets. The original show was a rite of passage for generations of women, especially for the friendship between Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. While SATC will no longer release new episodes, it does leave us with a parting gift in the form of Carrie Bradshaw's wardrobe choices through the years.
Her style made waves in 1998 for its whimsical, unconventional take on fashion and it stayed mainly the same, albeit more designer-led, in 2025. Selecting the best of her looks can often be difficult, as SJP's Bradshaw nailed nearly every outfit she wore. We take a look at Carrie Bradshaw's study in style through her most iconic looks.
1. The newspaper dress by Dior
If you are going to ruin your ex's wife's lunch, you might as well look good doing it; Carrie believed that. In the episode where she confronts Natasha at lunch, SJP wore a newspaper dress designed by John Galiano for Dior. The newspaper-printed dress became one of the most iconic looks to come out of the show, which has been recreated many times since.

2. Tulle skirt combo
Carrie's first outfit in the show has been imprinted in everyone's mind; even those who have never seen the show. A tiered tutu skirt teamed with a pale pink tank top and strap sandals was the first-ever look SJP debuted on SATC. Several years later, costume designer, Patricia Field revealed that she sourced the tutu from a showroom bin and bought it for just $5, which is approximately Rs 400.
3. Strictly business
Separately, the pieces may leave one doubtful but when the white pants and vest, cropped pink shirt, open-toed black shoes, chunky black tie and brooch were all thrown together, they somehow worked. With its play on proportions and colours, the outfit screams whimsy-meets-corporate barbie.
4. Simone Rocha romance
Arguably the best Carrie outfit to come out of all three seasons of And Just Like That, this look by Simone Rocha showed us why Carrie got the fame for her fashion choices. She wore Simone Rocha's beautifully romantic SS24 dress and jacket straight from the runway to write and send Aidan a heart-emblazoned postcard. The corseted dress is adorned with 3D roses on the bodice and hips, while the jacket has a utilitarian feel with pockets and an oversized hood, adding the right amount of drama.
5. The wedding dress
In the SATC movie, Carrie was looking forward to her dream wedding with Mr. Big with a poofy Vivienne Westwood wedding dress for the much-awaited moment. While she never made it down the aisle, the strapless gown made a bad day feel like a good one. The two-layered wedding gown came with a corseted top of gold-backed ivory duchess silk satin, while the skirt was crafted from ivory silk Radzimir taffeta. It remains an iconic wedding looks from TV and movies.
6. Flower power
In season 3 of SATC, we see Carrie step out in a stunning floral midi dress that was doomed to be soaked in pond water from Central Park. The dress by Richard Tyler, which was a part of his 2001 resort wear collection, used to be a part of SJP's own collection but is now on display at Australia's Vitoria Museum.
7. Crop it up
Carrie nails it when it comes to casual wear, and this look of hers is testament to the same. The cropped sweater and striped midi skirt are from Prada’s '50s-by-way-of-'80s-inspired Spring 2001 collection. She styled the look with a Gucci belt bag, a pageboy cap, and a horseshoe necklace to subvert Prada's minimalist vision into a maximalist's dream.
